Avoid Adams at all costs. My family and I rented a 2 bedroom flat in Reading for 3 years. We took very good care of the property and left it in a much better state that when we took over the tenancy. For the most part, any maintenance was carried out quickly by their engineers. However virtually no money was spent on the property and we were left with the likes of a front door that was old and allowed all the cold air in during winter, having a huge affect on winter fuel bills.
The icing on the cake was that upon leaving the property Adams hired an

NEVER use adams estates. They WILL withhold your deposit unnecessarily every single time and you will have to fight them for months over every single pound and eventually take legal action. They WILL charge you for the stupidest things imaginable such as dust gathering on surfaces between your move out time and the time they do their inventory. They WILL delay carrying out inventories for as long as possible. They manage houses for greedy and corrupt landlords and do not hold them accountable when 100% necessary maintenance work is not carried out. We would spend weeks chasing them up over essential works to fix a major leak in our house and every response read something like “we have contacted the landlord who will be in touch promptly. We will keep you updated” and then we wouldn't hear anything for weeks. Their houses are filthy, damaged and usually conceal some kind of major issues like leaks, mould or vermin. I have never had the misfortune of encountering such a despicable and outright criminal company in my life. I beg you don't use this company because I have unfortunately signed with them twice and have many friends who also live in their properties and there is not a single exception. For your own sanity do not do it!!!
