I completed on my property in around 10 weeks and found the Mark (Estate Agent) to be most helpful not only before I made an offer, but all the way through.
During the purchase Mark has been a good liaise with the other party, and his interventions when requested have been very prompt and saved many days of waiting. Contact was easy and responses to mails and call were swift and helpful.

I have become extremely wary when dealing with this Estate agent as they have lied to me numerous times about the ownership and the condition of the property. I made an offer subject to the house being a freehold, and after Mark Reynolds had assured me multiple times that this was the case I proceeded to have the property valued and have the conveyancing done. However once my solicitor found that the house was infact a leasehold, I spoke to Mark who only apologised and said it was due to a mix up with another house. I kindly requested him to reimburse the money that I had spent on the house (valuation fees and the legal fees), which he refused and was even prepared to face any legal actions that I may have carried out on him. In the end I decided not to pull out because I was short of money, he also advised how easy it was to buy the freehold and said he would do something about the price if I don't pull out.

The valuation report came back with some alarming factors, such as the the ceiling may be in adequately supported as the chimney has been knocked down, the flat roofing may fail any time and dampness.
I spoke to Sylvia who offered to have it looked at by the damp and treatment surveyor and the reconstruction work by a builder. When the reports came back I asked to have it in writing which made her completely snap and literally shout at me on the phone. She responded back saying I was being too picky and that I was delaying the process, she said it's one thing after another and that of course a house is to going to be perfect there will be problems.
Of course purchasing a house will be time consuming and there will be stress but she should be able to handle pressure effectively , especially at her level. I'm not going to blindly walk into a house assuming everything is ok, if there are problems I'm going to look find out the extent of the problems and the cost of having it fixed. As far as I'm concerned the seller still owns the house and it is their responsibility to fix any damages.
They are a bunch of liars and an absolute joke of an agency!!
