About James
I have spent the majority of my life living in various parts of Islington. I started at the firm over 25 years ago as a trainee under the tutorage of Geoffrey Hotblack and I rose to partnership in 1998. I opened the Highbury office in 2006 and ran that before handing it over to Alasdair. I now look after new busi
ness, working with developers and contractors which I am finding pleasantly challenging. To unwind, I get out my bike and go cycling – my colleagues call me a MAMIL – grossly unfair! I organise the Hotblack bike rides which are a great way for us all to get to know each other out of the office and keep fit too!
