Portico are outrageously incompetent. Extortionately high fee pays for: abhorrent lack of communication, unprofessional in every capacity met with habitual lies. Extortionately high fees should be met with a premium service. This could not be further from the truth.

Portico are outrageously incompetent. Extortionately high fee pays for: abhorrent lack of communication, unprofessional in every capacity met with habitual lies. In addition to this, they have outright refused to honour the agreed tenancy offer as they have made promises, on behalf of a landlord, that cannot be delivered. Avoid at all costs and for any prospective employers out there, I strongly advise never hiring Will Purkiss under any circumstance if you wish to run a credible business with a trustworthy reputation.

We seem to have had nothing but problems and stress since agreeing to rent a flat with Portico Bethnal Green agents Chris Price and Will Purkiss. We seem to have had nothing but problems and stress since agreeing to rent a flat with Portico Bethnal Green agents Chris Price and Will Purkiss. Service with regards to processing of lettings documents, moving in and resolution of on-going problems has been extremely inefficient, time-consuming and frustrating. When we call Chris and Will we are promised progress, but there is never any follow-up, so that problems such as broken kitchen applicances, missing blinds, faulty wardrobes etc.. etc.. remain unresolved after nearly 8 weeks as tenants and literally dozens of phone calls. Most frustratingly internal co-ordination between the lettings office in Bethnal Green and the property manager, Alexia Christodoulou in Camden, appears not to function at all. When she fails (as she has done consistently) to respond to our emails and calls about unresolved problems, Chris and Will tell us they cannot do anything to help because they only have the same means of contacting her as us!
