About Rufus
I was born in my parent’s house in Barnes. Growing up in such a countrified, community-orientated environment afforded my friends and I a certain freedom from a young age, and my earliest memories are of exploring the areas quiet streets, common, duck pond and of course the river. Not quite the ‘Famous
Five’, but we did have fun!
Following a most enjoyable dip into the wine trade after university and a brief flirtation with the Royal Navy, I returned to Barnes as an estate agent and have never looked back. More than a decade later I feel tremendously lucky to be working and bringing up my own family in such a beautiful part of London, whether with family in Barnes, my own wife and children in St. Margaret’s or out and about with friends in Sheen, Richmond and Kew.
As a career estate agent, I have witnessed and embraced the technology that has revolutionised our industry, yet remain passionate about the traditional values of service and integrity that must underpin everything we do. I also believe firmly in our responsibility as local agents to continually invest in the areas that we serve. After all, It’s people first, then property

I've bought and sold several properties in London and sadly, only met Rufus when buying in Barnes recently. Such a contrast from other agents I've had dealings with. He is knowledgeable, straightforward and honest. I totally trusted him throughout our purchase and he was helpful and charming, so much so that my daughter (aged 10) decided she wants to be an estate agent when she grows up. If you are looking to buy your dream house in Barnes, Mortlake, Sheen or Richmond - just call Rufus. WHAT a lovely person. WHAT a caring man. How he understands. How he sees just what you are looking for and knows his seller equally. He matches the two and viola! When I first met him I absolutely knew that we would be buying our home with him. And when I first saw the house we purchased through him, he very gently told me it was the right one for us before I even walked in the door. And then the buying process was so incredibly easy as he is such a warm and easy communicator. The chain of 3 exchanged within a matter of weeks because he knows just about everyone in the area from the best surveyors to cleaning firms. Thank you Rufus (and Julie too). They went over and above the call of duty (not to be written about here but the gift they gave us was something we would never have expected). I have therefore re-named them the Property Kindness Partnership. So deserved. Love you both and so happy you are down the road from us! Good luck with your new premises on White Hart Lane. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and realistic, he’s also incredibly warm and instantly puts all your worries at ease.
We had total faith that he would be open and honest throughout the whole process and he did not disappoint.
Always at the end of the phone to answer any queries no matter how silly, big or small. (And I had a few!)
We would only ever use Rufus and the team at the Partnership and feel very lucky to have had two smooth and stress free sales.
Huge thanks to Rufus and the team, we are now happily settling in our new home.

We sold our house in Barnes with Property Partnership in a very difficult market. The personalised service provided by Rufus made all the difference. His excellent communication, advice and guidance made the process straight forward and effortless. We always understood the situation of prospective buyers ahead of viewings and received honest and insightful feedback afterwards. When they found our buyer they provided excellent advice on concluding the negotiation and remained engaged during the conveyancing. I wouldn't go anywhere else to sell my next property.

I moved to the Property Partnership after a recommendation from a friend, and it was immediately so much better than the older, traditional agency I had used (which was more expensive) Rufus managed my property, with high attention to detail, was very available, and always worked proactively. It was a breath of fresh air when I moved, these guys are the way agencies should operate. I now live abroad, and Rufus always respected the timezones and organised around that. Recently I chose to sell the property and David was excellent, realistic, and kept me in the loop and informed through the whole process. I would recommend these guys and this agency.
