Goodwin Fish couldn’t have been more helpful through the rental of my property. No question is too much trouble, and their property management and communication is excellent. I did a thorough review when deciding on an agent, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Amy on the lettings side and Nicola in property management, are both great assets to Goodwin Fish.

I had rented a property through Goodwin fish for about 1.5years. They exibhited thorough profesionlism from agreement of tenancy to entire duration of tenancy and finally during closing of tenancy.

I did few mistakes during tenancy like paying rent twice for the same month mistakenly but everytime they responded to my concerns immediately and addressed them.

Also they were honest in telling their opinion and taking our point across to house owner.

The entire process was smooth during the stay with their management. I would definitely repeat engaging with them if I get a chance.

Only reason I had to move was due to property being sold and I needed to find a house close to my child's school.

The most unprofessional, unorganised, uncompassionate letting agent I have ever rented with in the 15 years I’ve been renting properties. I actually still feel angry, upset and in disbelief of how we were treated by them, and we will no doubt still be taking this further legally.

We spent the last 2 months of renting sleeping on the floor of the lounge due to the mould and damp issues, which we were told after around 6 weeks of waiting to get windows fixed that they would ‘require a window specialist’ and when querying this were told that it was OUR lack of communication. We were both ill due to allergies from the mould and the cold that was coming in from the broken window. Which led to us moving to the lounge, where the window was slightly less broken but by all means not comfortable. This was not taken seriously enough, despite events in recent times which is unbelievable really.

If GF respond on here and query any of this I have proof of everything bit of communication including emails, text messages and really wish I could name individuals on here, as these people should not be in any customer service based industry.

This was actually not even our first complaint and we had been compensated early on due to a dishwasher fix that took months and months to complete. Looking back we were also lied to on our viewing of the property, as they said the cupboards would be emptied of the stuff left by previous tenant – it wasn’t (we had to do this when we arrived), the flat would be cleaned – it wasn’t (or at least to a decent standard) the floor was sticky on arrival and after mopping the mop was black (have pictures) and everywhere needed a full clean.

The maintenance team are internal I believe and are completely incompetent, rude over message and leave a mess after there work, including foot marks on the bed when we were sleeping on the floor. Sounds unbelievable doesn’t it? Well what’s even more unbelievable is we were not compensated for any of the issues due to the mould and damp and GF made out over email that letting us leave the property early was some sort of compromise – We were sleeping on the floor. On the floor.

Emails get ignored for days/weeks, there is a lack of empathy from the company and change of relationship from after sales staff once they’re got you in the property. When you finally receive a response as well there is no acknowledgment of the time that’s passed, it generally got to the point of feeling like a part time job emailing and chasing. Days just turn into weeks and weeks into months with this company.

What can we do? – take this further legally and hopefully get the resolution we deserve. What can you do? – scroll further down on the property search, believe me it’s not worth it. I honestly find it so hard to believe that in this day and age with the technology we have and the options for communication customer service can be this poor. They seem to have this attitude that if you complain or have a problem you’re just one of those tenants, but trust me we are now in a flat perfectly happy and just really don’t want to put other renters through this.
