Disgusting treatment from the staff at the Wombwell branch who have failed to oversee a sale of a property. They cannot be bothered to go to a property to meet a surveyor, to carry out a valuation, therefore jeopardising the sale of it. I have bought over 30 properties and never once have I ever known an estate agent so unprofessional that I am forced to have to contact the vendor and advise them of what is not happening regarding the sale of the property. I even offered to collect the keys and meet the surveyor myself, but no as I can’t be trusted in case I squat in the house and also offered to collect the agent from her Wombwell branch (given there is only 2 branches) to the property as she cannot drive and take her back to the office, but no that isn’t acceptable either. I have provided so many solutions just to be turned down on every one of them. I am totally disgusted and reviewing whether just to walk away from purchasing?

Oct 8, 2020I'm sorry you feel we have let you down in this case. I believe the surveyor refused to collect the keys from the office because it was 6 miles from the property. Whilst this is normal practise and every other surveyor has collected keys from the selling agent, we did offer to meet the surveyor at the property however we asked for a time to meet them and was given a time frame of 9am-2pm. We couldn’t have had a member of staff at the property waiting for a surveyor to turn up. I am also aware you offered to collect the keys from our office but we cannot release these keys without our vendors permission, I know that you have offered to collect a member of my staff who can’t drive to take her to the property to meet the surveyor however during Covid we don't feel this would be a suitable option. I do understand your frustrations in this matter however I believe we at Beecroft Estates are not to blame. We have tried contacting the vendor who lives 3.5 hours away from the property so of course this would be a long journey for him to take. Since this review and the conversations we have had, the surveyors have now given a 2 hours time slot which we are happy to accommodate. We feel we give our clients the best possible service and go above and beyond, I would hope now that you have a satisfactory resolve that you amend this review and give us the credit we deserve.

Oct 9, 2020I am entitled to my opinion, so please respect that. Had you not left it down to the tenants to organise the valuation, it would have been organised at the beginning of September, but no, we are having to wait until Monday 12 October when the valuer will actually carry out their job what they have been paid to do. I have spoken with many other leading estate agents who have informed me they would have overseen every stage of the sale of the property and definitely not left it down to the tenant to organise.

Oct 9, 2020I wouldn't want to take your opinion away, you have the right to say what you want. We are just trying to represent ourselves fairly in this situation. You are purchasing a rented property, unfortunately for all concerned in this situation the tenants have their rights, it was their home and they cancelled the surveyor, which again was out of our control. No agent would have been able to force entry to someone else's home for a survey. I believe the delay has also been down to the surveyors changing the dates and pushing this back, it was originally booked in for today 9th October. Please understand that we are trying to help all sides get the sale through and we don't actually get paid until the property completes.

Oct 9, 2020I will not be amending my reviews, as you have clearly stated that I am entitled to my opinion and this is my opinion. I, too am representing myself fairly. You should have ensured that the Tenants made the appointment with the Surveyor/Valuer instead of just giving them a telephone number. I have been made aware the Tenant was reluctant to move and wanted to make any viewings etc awkward as possible. I also made the Wombwell branch aware of this at the time of the viewing of what we had experienced. With regards to me offering several solutions, I did ask you to contact the Vendor and obtain his permission for me to collect the keys from your office and wait at the house for the Surveyor and I would have provided video evidence of me locking up the house after the Surveyor had left. There was no response to my request from you. Also, no one asked you to force entry on the Tenants. I do believe you are not understanding what I am trying to say, whereby Beecroft Agency should have ensured that a definite date and time was set, not just take the Tenants word for it. You failed to follow up with the Surveyor on this. I do believe on this sale that your attention wasn't 100% and going forward, I hope it is now. I have always responded immediately to any emails I have received from Beecroft Agency and have acted swiftly. Thank you.
