We are extremely satisfied with At Home in Edinburgh. As we rented our property for the first time, we were led through the entire process from initial contact with the Agent to having a satisfied tenant in place, efficiently, courteously, and with the 'right amount' of attention to detail. All our questions were answered quickly. Their recommendations for persons to carry out the necessary compliance checks were excellent, leading us to feel comfortable knowing that our flat is being taken good care of, not only by the agents themselves but also, if needed, by reliable and efficient technicians. Me and my friend have been renting from At Home in Edinburgh for 2 years now. It’s been an absolute pleasure. In an Edinburgh rental market that can often feel exploitative, this company has been a breath of fresh air—honest, trustworthy, and professional.
Whenever there’s been an issue with the property, they’ve always been quick to respond, often sorting things within 24 hours. It’s clear they genuinely care about their tenants’ well-being. As a small business, the hands-on owner is personally involved, and it really shows in how quickly any issues are addressed.
Communication has also been excellent —whether it's to discuss repairs, arrange inspections, or check in, the company is always approachable and transparent. It's the most stress-free experience we've had housing-wise in Edinburgh.

As tenants, my partner and I have had a great experience renting with At Home In Edinburgh the past few years. Every time we contacted them, the team was incredibly polite, friendly, and approachable. The communication was always prompt and professional, and any repairs that needed to be done were arranged quickly and efficiently, which we really appreciated.
The team ensured that any inspections that needed carried out were always quick and unintrusive. We also valued that as we came to the end of our tenancy, there were no viewings carried out while we were still living in the property.
I would like to, in particular, highlight Lauren who consistently looked after us throughout our tenancy. It was great to always deal with the same person, and Lauren was excellent in making sure everything ran smoothly.

The team arranged for all the necessary checks, remedial work and safety certificates with their trusted trades. Did a great walk through video for marketing, and as promised the whole process took only 3 weeks.
Lauren kept me updated during the process as needed.

At Home in Edinburgh is truly such a great agency. The application process was extremely straightforward and Amy assisted us at each step after being selected. It's such a relief to know that we can count on her! She's incredibly responsive and attentive, and even sent us help at 8 am, outside of office hours, on the first day we moved in (we had a small problem with the boiler, solved immediately). We would totally recommend At Home in Edinburgh to anyone who is looking for a reliable and friendly agency in Edinburgh!

Due to some unforeseen circumstances with a different Estate Agent, I approached At Home in Edinburgh to manage my property. They were quick in their response, incredibly professional and most of all very supportive of my difficult situation.
Rick and Amy were both fantastic, welcoming and helpful. They managed to find tenants in a short space of time, put together all the necessary paperwork without too much complications for me, particularly as I lived abroad, and ensured that everything went smoothly from start to finish.
I would strongly recommend this lovely family run Estate Agent who provide a personalised bespoke and professional service.
Thank you so much to Rick and Amy and all the other family members I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting.

For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
Complaints Procedure
We are committed to providing a high-quality service to all our clients. When something goes wrong, we need you to tell us about it. This will help us to improve our standards. If you have a complaint about our service, or about the service of a contractor or third party who we have instructed to provide goods or services in relation to a property owned by or occupied by you, please write down the details of your complaint and send it to: At Home In Edinburgh Ltd 39 Warrender Park Road Edinburgh EH9 1EU or info@athomeinedinburgh.co.uk On receipt of your complaint we will adhere to the following procedure: - Stage 1 We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint in writing within 3 working days of receiving it, giving you a named contact who will be dealing with the complaint. Stage 2 Your named contact will then investigate your complaint and will send you a detailed written reply, including their suggestions for resolving the matter, within 10 working days of us receiving your complaint. There may occasionally be circumstances outwith our control which prevent us from adhering to this timeframe. These include: - • when the office is closed for public holidays; • where adverse weather or sickness has led to staff shortages; • where we cannot respond in full without the input of a third party (e.g. contractor, landlord, tenant) who is not available; • where we cannot respond in full without visiting the rental property and the tenant is restricting access; • where we cannot respond in full without the input of a key member of staff who is not available. We will contact you if we are unable to respond within this timeframe and let you know when we aim to respond by. Stage 5 You may apply to the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland (Housing & Property Chamber) if we have breached the Scottish Letting Agent Code of Practice and you remain dissatisfied once the above stages have been exhausted, or if we do not process your complaint within a reasonable timescale.
