As a Landlord, Hanlon Clark were constantly late in paying rents and only did so after having to chase them every month. All my tenants complained about the lack of any business ethics and customer care is not within their vocabulary. They could certainly write a book of excuses!.
If a landlord - get out and do it yourself. They are uncontactable. They wont tell me where my tenants deposits are either , which is worrying. Beware tenants and landlords - if you check Companies House you will see the Company has 2 months before being struck of the register and being dissolved.

Completely unprofessional company with little or no interest in rental tenants. Wait a ridiculous amount of time to have any repairs done, even emergency repairs. Only way to contact them with an emergency out with office hours is email. Only return calls or emails when it suits them and are usually always cheeky or downright rude. Avoid at all cost.

I have recently used Hanon Clark to market my property in Strathaven and the service and feedback from Jan and the team was always good there approach is friendly and they were always very punctual at phoning back to give feedback on viewings and following up on viewings made to the property I would have no hesitation in using HC again and would recommend them.

Do not use hanlon Clark I let my flat out & rent is constantly late, I've checked for 6 months with client & rent is paid on time (bank statements prove this). I would strongly never use or advise this agent, every time I've tried to contact them I get cheek & complete disrespect, no customer service what so ever. I've taken my business away & what a change (I actually wonder why she would sit on the money)? If this is happening to anyone else I would strongly say to review this! I've never had an expearience like this & to sum things up I don't have my deposit money back & this has been a few months.

check out cleaning fees are astronomical and completely overcharged me I also asked repeatedly for a breakdown and im still to receive this
after nearly 6 months later of moving out the property and after having no contact I receive a legal letter absolutely disgusting and would never recommend anyone to use them

Unfortunately they are 100% unprofessional, letting my property through them and ran into the following problems:
- frequently ignore emails
- twice in 6 months they simply forgot to pay forward my rent payment
- quarterly inspection documented in the agreement was not performed
- 2 months after the last missing rent payment and one month after firing them still chasing that payment
Completely unreliable and starting debt collection proceedings soon...

Rented a property through HHC for over two and a half years.
Initially, inspections were carried out regularly then this fizzled out and was fairly sporadic.
Notified them of some issues with the property during the last six months or so of tenancy (external repairs & poor workmanship) and nobody bothered to inspect or return my calls/emails. Eventually gave up with them and found somewhere else to live.
Handed in my notice and had to keep chasing them to put the property back on the market, asked for confirmation in writing of a few things but this was never forthcoming. In the end, I had to practically threaten them regarding my deposit return then was told they'd forgotten about it! No check out inspection carried out, took my own pics so that they couldn't come back at a later point and say I'd caused any damage, etc...
Can't see where they earned their management fee on my tenancy and cannot for the life of me understand why they're voted winner of 'Best Overall Estate & Letting Agent in SL' as per their email signature.
Also, who uses hotmail for business email...?????

What agent could do to change your mind?
After a year of one to many problems with the agent there was nothing they could have done. Also they were unwilling to improve and would advise that certain staff would benefit from training in customer relations.

I used this agent for approximately 1 year initially no problems however several months later rent began to be paid to myself late. I was advised that there was only one person that deals with rent and they were on holiday so I was told I would just have to wait. Also on another occasion my monthly management fee was waived by Craig as he agreed that as agents they had not managed my property. It seems that each member of staff blame each other for errors and fail to communicate with one and other. I have now moved my property to another agent due to my current tenant also having problems with "Jan" whose manner at times could be abrupt and unhelpful. I would suggest anyone considering using hemming Hanlon Clark avoid them.

My initial contact with the company was a house appointment with Craig Hemmings.
He didnt at any time give me the Hard Sell and walked me through the full selling process and freely discussed the full fees which he assured me had no hidden extras.(He trusted me and didnt even ask for a signature).
All of the viewings were conducted professionally, which was also included in the original price.
I was kept fully informed of all viewings, viewers opinions etc.
This was communicated promptly via phone ,email and a web page system I could inspect at any time which was also updated quickly and factually
Every member of this establishment that I had any form of contact with were superb in every single aspect of my house sale . My sale had a few set backs due to purchasers pulling out at the very last minute. Even after these set backs the staff remained positive and pursued prospective purchasers vigorously.
I cannot speak highly enough of this company and its dynamics.
If you need any of the services provided by Hemings, Hanlon & Clark look no further.
They are Professional, Informative , honest and courteous to a fault.
Finally Craig Hemmings initial quote promise was kept even after a few stumbling blocks delaying the sale of my property.
A huge thanks to Craig, both Stephanies and my Fav Jan.
I wish all potentially stressful situations could be simplified and as easy as this one.

these two staff members have emailed and helped with any questions that I have needed asked. any problems they have done there best to have it sorted for me if it is able to do so. these two staff members have emailed and helped with any questions that I have needed asked. any problems they have done there best to have it sorted for me if it is able to do so. Stephanie was very helpful with what was to happen when I lost my job but she done it with empathy. these two staff members are a credit to the company.

I put my flat up for let through HHC at the end of November 2014. Before Christmas I had my first tenant in the flat. This was a remarkable achievement given that the property market is notoriously quite around Xmas. Stephanie Hogg has been my main point of contact with the company and has kept me up to date throughout the process. This has greatly reduced any of the antricipated stress that I had expected in being a landlord.
