Choices were recommended by my sister-in-law and I had a great experience letting through them.
I was pleased with the friendly and informative valuation I had and within just 14 hours I got a call from them to say they had a tenant lined up! Eagerly, I encouraged them to take the deposit and it all ran smoothly from then on.
I've since had a little update to say the young family moved in Saturday and are really happy also.
Excellent value for the money.

After great service to get me "hooked" as a landlord..the engagement with the customer services agent (Sophiya Bell) and the Branch in Brighton has been shambolic. Despite a no smoking policy in the property, a mid term inspection did not record that the tenant had been smoking and the state of the property upon their departure was such that the following tenant complained significantly about the nicotine smell. It has taken over 2 months for Choices to sort out furniture repairs following the last tenant, alongside an upholstery clean. I have had to send countless email communications to accelerate and gain clarity of how matters are being dealt with, most of which are ignored or my questions (however simply articulated) are not answered and the agent I have dealt with has on occasion demonstrated complete confusion with the simplest of things. Furthermore, they told me that I should be more understanding given the couple of hundred properties that she has to deal with on her own!.

I have dealt with 7 different people across the agent despite being told that I will only have to deal with 1. However the apparent incompetence of that individual has caused Choices to advise me to deal with branch rather than customer services. As a result of the many changes of ownership, there are countless instances of confusion. Worse still I received an email simply stating "she is not happy" which clearly was meant to be forwarded internally rather than being sent in response to my complaint.
I was told that my complaint was forwarded to a compliance director from whom , after more than 2 weeks, I have received no contact whatsoever.
I have NO confidence whatsoever in this organisation or it's individuals and they clearly don't have their client's interest at heart. I can honestly say I have never received such poor service from any other organisation.

They will try and wrangle money out of you any way possible - including sending letters saying that you haven't paid rent and will charge £35 for these - despite the fact that rent has ALWAYS been paid early and receipts of said payments have been sent as evidence of this. STILL receiving these letters and being told that I will have to pay these charges!
The entire company is a disgrace and I cannot stress enough - avoid at all costs.
