The Castleford Branch. We always had issues with this company, never giving us the right information or passing information over to the landlord and having the response of “not our problem” when we called about issues. Damp and mouldy conditions were not taken seriously. I even caught them entering my property for a viewing without permission on one occasion! So god knows how many times we had our property entered while we weren't there. The staff were extremely rude and dismissive throughout our time in the property and we would never go back to this company.

I have changed my review due to the poor service i have used from hunters conveyancers. I would like to try and warn people to STAY AWAY unless you want to throw thousands of pounds down the drain. The quotation you receive will be a LIE and you will get charged significantly more. When i had a governing body look at the quote that was given by them they confirmed significant charges were left off the quote (you take your own opinion on that one) so if i was savvy in the costs involved with solicitors charges then maybe i would have known that the costs would be a further £1000 more. The solicitor charged us VAT on things that are VAT exempt and when i challenged this i got sent a cheque that subsequently bounced....I have had to chase the solicitors for updates both on the sale and the purchase, he tried to get us to extend timings on both sides. They wont give me the complaints procedure so i have gone to the legal ombudsman. Ison Harrison were the solicitors we used to buy our first house and they were amazing!!!!!
I would have been prepared for a slight difference in price on solicitor fees but not £1000
Although Hunters estate agents were amazing i personally wouldn't use them again as they recommended a rip off company.
We had a few different estate agents come to our house to value it and from the start when I booked them to come they were a lot more helpful then other estate agents I spoke to. Natasha came out and valued our house at more than I initially thought and when I expressed my concerns about it being too expensive she listened and said they would advertise at the price I had initially thought. I had a million questions and throughout the process they answered my questions and settled my concerns or worries, the whole team were really supportive. When I instructed them to act on our behalf, Ricky was our negotiator. Again, I had lots of questions and was on the phone regularly and throughout was supported, I even changed my mind to go back to the original price Natasha valued the property at and they were so amenable.
Our property sold within a week of being on the market so the valued price was absolutely bang on! The pictures were fantastic, made the property look perfect without being unrealistic like some other estate agents in the area.
I also viewed some of the properties they had for sale and again I had viewed with lots of other estate agents in the area and hunters were the best at showing us round, they knew answers to questions (many other estate agents have random people who don't know the property show you around so usually no nothing....pointless in them being there and a massive no no for me) we didn't purchase one of their properties but they were the best agents we experienced when showing us around properties. We experienced other estate agents being rude with us when we decided against one of their properties where as hunters were really understanding.
The only thing I would say is that we used the lawyers that we're recommended by hunters and I wouldn't use them again.
Thanks everyone at Hunters ... we would definitely use you again for sale or purchases in the future.
