We cannot speak too highly of the help, support and encouragement we received from James Carroll and his wife Ria at Jackson-Stops, Barnstaple. They fully understood the significance to us of the move we were making, and never made light of it. And they gave us assistance and advice with our purchase (which was not through Jackson-Stops) as well as our sale.
They were so completely professional in their work for us, but also friendly and supportive, pushing and battling for us, or asking a pointed question, or making a diplomatic phone call, at just the right moments. And when the going got tough, there was no-one else I would have wanted watching our back.
We have made a life-changing move, very much for the better, and James and Ria played a very significant role in making that happen.

Professional, Straightforward & very Responsive
As buyers, we were impressed that Jackson-Stops Barnstaple were, unfailingly, all of the above. They struck a great and hard to strike balance of working for us as buyers and their original client, the vendors. We made it clear that we had a looming stamp duty deadline and they clearly worked hard to help us meet it. Particularly of note is how very responsive they are, which really help to speed the process.
A very pleasant transaction and thanks gain for helping us meet that deadline.
Impressed by the service we enjoyed and would be pleased to deal with the Jackson-Stops Barnstaple team again.

I can't rate Jackson-Stops Barnstaple enough. From the initial visit through to the completion, James & Ria were so professional (something that is often lost in these times). Our sale was of a non-standard property and I was worried that we would waste a lot of time but they vetted viewings perfectly. Their communication of viewings, offers, negotiations and the progressing of the legal side was outstanding. We sold "the village in a village" within 3 weeks and completion within a further 15, with Covid-19 and stamp duty pressures adding to the process. This is the first property sale I've ever had (and there have been a few!) where I actually believed the estate agents were working on my behalf. Would definitely recommend!

We bought and sold our house via Jackson-Stops and I honestly couldn't fault them . They are the only estate agents I've ever met who actually fulfilled everything they promised ; the service was first class .
