I purchased a flat through Anthony so did not pay him a fee, yet I still felt him to be unbiased.
Throughout what was a rocky process - I purchased from a separated couple, and would receive one message through informal channels (him), and quite another through their solicitor (her) – Anthony was a centre of calm, something I truly appreciated at the time.
He managed his personal diary very well, always made time on the critical dates, and never left a call unanswered for more than an hour. When the vendor’s Solicitor disappeared for two months unannounced, he kept the channels of communication open and singlehandedly saved the sale. When communication was unclear or was not properly shared, he went the extra mile with both of our solicitors.
A month after the sale, he also assisted when a cowboy plumbing job came to light (towels shoved behind a bath to hide a slow leak), and saved me the expense of a solicitor.
Recommended, if you intend to buy or sell through the Chislehurst branch of Winkworths. Special mention should also be made of his colleague Carly, who often fielded my calls, and who clearly kept their office running smoothly.

I found Anthony Whelan to be very helpful in purchasing my new property. He gave me more infortmation to where we were during the process of the sale of my own property than the Estate Agent that was working for me. Any questions I asked Mr Whelan he did his best to answer me, if he did not know at the time he went out of his way to find out and got back to me as soon as possible. If in the near future I moved again I would put my property on the market with Winkworth Estate Agents.

Thoroughly impressed with the team at Winkworths in selling our property. We had number of the agents into our property so they all could really sell the virtues of our house which I really liked. As the market cooled just after we put our house on the market, they offered quick and realistic advice to maximise interest and secure us a good offer. What I was most impressed with was the way they kept on top of things after we had an offer and really drove things through to meet the quick turnaround both myself and our buyers needed. I used Winkworth to purchase a property a few months ago. From the start Anthony was personable, friendly and professional in all respects. In what is a stressful business he was always there to support, follow through and be totally committed to the job. I always felt Winkworth was there on side to fight my corner which is exactly what one wants. Unlike many larger estate agents (specially KFH) they worked as a strong team and I felt always went the extra mile. They were honest and approachable at all times. I would definitely use them again and would not hesitate in using them when it comes to selling when that point arrives. Definitely would rank them as one of the best agents I have used.

Even after we had exchanged contracts on our sale, he continued to monitor and chase our purchase, although he was not acting for us in relation to the purchase of our new house. I chose this agency because I read their reviews on this website. My experience with this agency has been awful. I have to admit that this is the first time I deal with estate agents for selling a property but they really did not impress me..or the impressed in an extremely negative way. To the point that, if this estate agency is one of the good one....I'm totally lost for words!
I picked them because they were very honest regarding my property and the housing market at the current time...while other agents seem too good to be true in terms of marketing value and potential selling price...but they have seriously let me down.
They haven`t shown any professionalism in doing their job.
We had an open day arranged for today with only 4 appointments lined up ( I just found out that only one appointment has been done...but of course, they didn't even have the courtesy to inform me of the cancellations..which I think would have been polite ).
Mr Anthony( that I have seen for the first time on the day of the viewings,which is today)came to show our apartment to potential buyers showing up at the same time of the potential buyer. I would really like to point out that Mr Anthony has never been in my property before the time of the appointment. Is this behaviour professional? In my modest opinion it is not at all!
Then, he didn't even have the courtesy to wait for me in my property or to give me a call to let me know that he was finished...and I have to drive back to the high street, with my toddler, to pick my keys.
To close my review...I just want to forget about them...I don`t even care if I sell my property with them. I just want this awful experience over. I have to be honest...maybe you get better customer care with them ( and every other estate agents I guess!!) if you try to buy or sell a multi million dollar mansion...and not a flat worth around 450K.
Well.....you live and learn.
I'm just wondering now which of the estate agents out there are not going to be as disappointing as this one.
And I'm not even talking about the ability of selling my property ( which is not a bad property by the way)...I'm talking about decency, respect and professionalism in the little exchange you have with them.
I'm absolutely shocked by what I have experience today with Winkworth Chislehurst.
PS: If you wonder if I have exchanged my feelings with them ...yes I had...and they couldn't care less...obviously!
