Our flat sale was a little complicated but both Mike and Mark kept ringing me and telling me that it was all going to work out. They both helped sale the flat along with Austen coming over twice and do photographs of our flat. It was stressful but a good experience having the help and support from everyone at Castles especially Mike, Mark and Austen. Also thank you to Sophie to helped with viewings and always putting a few minutes to speak with myself about the process. I felt confident with Castles being able to help sell my flat and it was completed on the 6th July 2018. Thank you all for helping and supporting me through the sale and completion.

We are experienced landlords, and with a decade of working for London estate agents within property management and lettings. We bought a property in Swindon through Castles with no issues 6 years ago and naturally invited them to value it for us when we needed to sell this year.
Up to happily agreeing to instruct Castles to sell our property at an "unapologetically higher than average fee", due to their "excellent service and ability to manage the relationship" with our vulnerable tenants, their service and communication was fine. From there it went swiftly downhill.
Cue a barrage of system generated texts and emails to our tenant who had not had yet had an introductory email or phone call. We had explained the difficult and vulnerable nature of our tenant and the need to nurture the relationship. They failed and upset/alienated/angered him straight away. We intervened and practically had to dictate a possible introductory email/phone call as they seemed incapable without guidance.
Luckily, an investment buyer was lined up quickly at a price we were happy with. The tenant vacated, leaving a complete mess, requiring 4 full van loads of waste and belongings for us to remove. In the few weeks it took to make the house appear habitable for the purchaser, Castles decided it was a good idea to allow them to view the house again without communicating with us, or even apparently knowing for sure if the property had been vacated. The result was an abrupt email to us from a member of staff we had not heard from before informing us the viewing had happened, that the house was a mess (yes, thanks...we know!!), and that the central heating was in need of a service/repair - unable to identify that the lack of electricity & gas credit meant the boiler would not fire. This could easily have caused a less experienced buyer to reevaluate their decision to buy.
To be clear, they are not the worst agents, but did promise and charge for a level of service that was not delivered. Their handling of our complaint was completed with as much attention to detail as we had now come to expect, and our suggestion to revert to a more appropriate fee level was refused, in a formal letter sent to an old address we had already updated with them. Twice.

Having worked with Mark and Chris I was impressed with their professionalism and integrity. It wasn't the stereotypical estate agent experience, in fact quite the opposite.
Chris was excellent when he valued our house. Complimentary and realistic with a simple strategy. Mark was approachable and fair and an excellent source of knowledge.
I experienced underhand tactics via other estate agents and was pleased that Catles rose above this.
We decided not to sell in the end, a personal choice and nothing to do with Castles. They even wished us well when we informed them.
Go to Castles - Highly Recommended!

When my partner and I decided to sell both our houses and purchase 1 we needed to find an estate agent we felt would be able to co-ordinate both sales at the same time. Both our houses sold within 2 weeks of each other which fitted in very well with our purchase. The communication between Castles, especially Mark was excellent. we felt he did that little bit extra to ensure everything went very smoothly. He had to deal with internet solicitors, which were shockingly bad and 2 sets of buyers who were both very keen to move in as soon as possible. Mark and his team were very professional, proactive and supportive thoughout, we would have no hesitation in recommending them to any of our friends, AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF TEAMWORK.

We are a property company with many years experience in dealing with agents and I have to say I can only commend them on the exceptional levels of service, efficiency and professionalism that they have shown throughout the purchase of our properties.
The staff were attentive and always ensured that all parties associated with each transaction were kept up to date throughout the process, which led to expeditious completions and smooth transactions.
It is not often that one comes across quality agents and we would definitley use Castles for any future disposal of our investments
