Mayhews were the estate agent we used to sell our house in Horley. We had used them for moving from our flat and buying our first house- and although we invited three local estate agents round, we chose Mayhews because they were great the first time round. Ed and team were clear with the process from the beginning. We had quite a pressure with selling and moving as it was due to my husband relocating for work and we had been given a deadline by his work. We got on the market quickly and viewings were arranged, and we sold within a month or so last year in May. We moved to the Midlands three weeks ago, however the length of time it took was no fault of Mayhews. Unfortunately the chain broke twice along the way (something that was out of our control) and while we were holding on for our buyers, Mayhews advised us to go back on the market after Christmas and start the viewing process again as there was an issue at the bottom of the chain. Thankfully we sold again soon, and through clear communication with Karen who is the progressor, we were so grateful to have been able to keep the house we were buying and eventually make the move, while my husband's work also gave him some leeway with the deadline. We had prayed for the Lord to work in the situation, and we saw it all come together! Thank you Ed, Karen, and team!

Fantastic service from the get go! The Horley Mayhews team have been brilliant every step of us selling and a buying a property (as both were done through them). It was smooth and quick!
When we lost a buyer, their team stepped up their excellent marketing and got us a new buyer within 2 days, so we didn't lose our house we were buying!
They also offered WhatsApp messaging, which was great and quick to use in time of need!
A massive thanks to Ed, Karen, Josh, Shayne and the whole team for their efficient work!

We purchased our new home through Mayhews Horley branch. This branch has a great team of friendly and professional people on board, who were very helpful throughout the whole purchase process. In error I chose an appalling solicitor. So although a buyer was found very quickly, and their offer was accepted, due to the inefficiency of the solicitor, the sale took almost nine months to complete.
Both Ed and his letting agent Karen kept me up to date at all stages, supported me as an elderly landlord living abroad, and quickly responded to every email I sent to them. They were a brilliant team!

This is the 3rd time in the last 8 years that I’ve used Mayhews East Grinstead. They came to my rescue when I was struggling to sell a property in 2015 and I was so impressed I naturally used them again nearly 2 years ago. The sale was quick, smooth and slick with the asking price achieved. (They were also the agents that found my new home )The more recent involved a property that needed the lease renewing which i was dove tailing with the sale. It was a long and lengthy process with many hurdles however Mayhews never gave up and supported me all the way through. Tom tells you how it is you know where you stand and is very realistic. Stephanie was totally amazing constantly keeping me updated I never had to chase. Steph is excellent at her job. Right at the end it became very stressful and Tom took over all the communication on my behalf and was a fantastic mediator. Thank you again Mayhews. I’ll be recommending you and if necessary will be using you again in the future.

Tom came and explained the process clearly, got our flat on the market within a couple of hours and has been brilliant at answering my queries quickly. I spoke with Aidan several times about viewings and he was always so helpful and positive. Olivia drew our attention to a house we wouldn't have spotted otherwise (as it didn't quite meet our search criteria on paper) but turned out to be exactly what we were looking for and I'm so grateful for that!

The entire team at Mayhews have been fantastic throughout our sale and purchase. We did have some ups and downs during our slightly complicated sale and Steph was always there to find answers, chase things, come up with solutions and give updates. Whenever I started to feel overwhelmed it was honestly like having someone hold your hand throughout and there are no words to explain how grateful I am and how much easier she made the whole experience. An absolute dream team and I would recommend them to anyone thinking of moving house.
