Romans were the third estate agents based in Fleet that we used on a sole-agency basis and the company that actually sold the house. The sale was within the intial period on the contract we had with them. The staff in the Fleet office were pro-active and determined to get a sale. They looked at different ways of attracting interest and the firm's wide range of branches helped. They also eviewed the asking price compared with other properties in the local area to ensure that it was competitive. Once an offer had been accepted, we were transferred to Roman's Move Management Department. A very good service was provided to try and ensure that all the parties in the chain progressed towards exchange and completion. Romans did a lot of chasing of one solicitor that was slowing down the whole process. Overall, I would recommend Romans as the estate agent to use if you need a sale.

I had a property check done by Jo Hunt last week. I needed to leave a review as the service I got from her was incredible. She was so friendly and helpful, made me feel so comfortable and at ease. She listened to everything I had to say and actually took the time to listen and hear me making me feel the appointment was NOT rushed and I was heard. She wrote everything down and assured me everything would be passed on to the necessary departments so problems can be sorted out quickly. I have asked Romans to keep sending me statements attached to e-mails, which is what my other agents do. Really simple- I just print them out. As it is I only have two of the three statements I need for my VAT return from Romans which unfortunately gobbled up the really excellent small local firm I originally dealt with..
Romans, which has grown far too large and disjointed, now wants all landlords to log in, have a password etc to get statements . What a load of tosh that I don't want to bother with. The site won't accept my chosen password so you know what I will tell this abysmal firm when the time comes to find a new tenant. Goodbye!

Romans Estate Agency Fleet.
I have used this agent twice, 20 years or so apart, on both occasions I have found them to be quite frankly terrible.
On the first occasion they failed to connect us, as a seller with the people we eventually sold to despite both being registered at the same Fleet branch office.
Jumping forward 20+ years, I thought I'd give them a second try.
What a mistake!, Open house planned for a few days after it went to market, and then an insistance I needed to drop the price by £50,000 (from less than their valuation) within the first 10 days of marketing. Then nothing, no contact whatsoever for the next 10 weeks. Until I take it off the market.
Clearly expecting £7k to drop in their lap for 2 hours work.
Avoid!

Thanks to the team at Romans Fleet for all the help and guidance they gave me whilst selling my parents retirement flat. If Romans concentrated more on getting the job done in hand instead of bombarding ex tenants with emails and text messages of a personal nature then maybe the office would run a lot more smoothly and the Property Manager could concentrate on doing her job and sorting out problems which need dealing ... I have been using the Fleet branch of Romans for just over a year now for the letting of a property, having also used them for the purchase. In fact I struggled to turn the house around between tenancy agreements, and will in future ask Romans to give me a few more days between tenants! Communication was minimal but the important information was relayed and there are benefits to not having the normal estate agent patter! Emails are always responded to quickly and helpfully. I recommend Romans for both selling and letting.
