A very poor service from start to finish. Inadequate vetting & referencing of their selected tenants for our property and a lack of ensuring that the terms of the let were complied with. Completely dishonest when advising us what cover was provided in return for the management fees. Once the tenants had defaulted on the rental agreement little action was taken to redress the situation until we threatened to involve the Ombudsman. After finally offering a financial settlement due to their negligence they then refused to pay us the deposit and kept it for themselves, after repaying only half the rent arrears owed. It has also cost us a lot of money due to dilapidation of the property for which they refuse to compensate.
We were advised that we would pay a higher fee to guarantee rent payments (the fees are not published, only advised by their staff). Once the tenants defaulted, we were then advised that the fees did not include a rent guarantee.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
