Me and my partner lived in this property for over a year! With the help of Julie (an agent for Alfred pallas) we were shown this property on a whim and loved it! Ideal location and Julie was more than helpful. It is not until we have moved out of the property we have had issues! Lack of communication and money issues being the main concerns! We have been moved out of the property for 6 weeks now and have spent 6 weeks chasing up our deposit. This also included a month on top of these 6 weeks where the landlord had plenty of notice! There was viewings arranged whilst we still lived at the property which we had kindly agreed too and then agents not showing up. No word of cancellation. Or potential tenants showing up and me having to show them around my property! Having two strangers in my house when I am alone and pregnant was definitely not what I agreed too nor is it professional on Alfred pallas' behalf! We then had a viewing before we moved out where they had to check the standard of the house-to which I was told we had actually improved the property and everything was fine and the deposit would be sorted soon as! Lost count of how many phone calls we had to make chasing up the agents. We had to hire 2 vans on separate occasions costing a total of £220 of our own money to take away things from the property. Even though when we moved in there was items left! And as well as working full time and being pregnant had to go back to the property to empty things from the back yard. We had no issue doing this and did as the landlord has asked! Finally today we have sorted our deposit. After chasing up phone calls and not having any phone calls or voicemails (as they were claiming to have left) the agent have deducted money from our deposit for a carpet cleaning bill! No mention of this has ever been said before. They have had plenty of time to ask us to clean the carpets or replace anything! The lady I spoke to was highly unprofessional. Never returned calls. Has both mine and my partners contact numbers and email and new address and we've had no calls, letters or voicemail. Safe to say I would not use Alfred pallas for any lettings in future. Credit where it is due most the ladies there are lovely. Seems like the higher up 'managers' are the ones who need to be more polite to their tenants and definitely more professional and learn how to communicate efficiently!
