We used hatched because as with all sales today they are generated by the web. Hatched listed our home on all the internet sites. We sold without hastle and saved £25k...yes £25k. The whole sale cost us less than £900.
There is now point in using high street agents...after all we found our new property without setting foot in a high street office.

Would AVOID at all cost!! Unprofessional, inexperienced staff with little knowledge of local market. Don't care much for their customers, simply chasing the commission.
Marketed over 3 properties with them and a total waist of time, first agent came from Middllesborough who had no idea of the area, As an example, the sale manager for our house, was trying to compare my property in Scalby Village with a property in Northway or scalby road to convince me that the price is the issue and not the way they work in our area.
They siting, thinking things get done by clicking a key board?!
Knowing who to sell to and who to target, is a key factor to selling, none of these was part of Hatched policy.
The process and the system is so long, you feel is endless, and could work in London, big city as the demand is greater than the supply.
However in Scarborough you need to do the ground work to establish who to target, not simply by browsing the internet.
You can't deal with matter remotely from Manchester or where ever you are in the land.
Taking the traditional package is a crime with hatched, they always try to sell you a package where you have to pay in advance, thus when they don't sell your property, they don't care, the aim of the game is to sell properties not getting paid for nothing and in advance???
The price and packages suggested by the agent was nok (traditional only can pass). Communication was dreadful and vetting of potential buyers non existent. Total waste of time and money - their are other good local agents and online agents out there, Hatched is definitely not one of them.

Fantastic, couldn't have been better!
Fantastic! Couldn't have been better. We used Hatched to sell our West London flat with the mentality of if I use my computer and phone to order cabs and food, and only search for properties online why not use an online agent. I'm glad I did.
Our local rep Paul came and valued the property similarly to the local agents I had round to value it and was super useful throughout the process. We had loads of viewings in the first two weeks and then in came the offers. They were easy to deal with and we ended up selling for asking price. Hatched them chased everything up to keep the sale on track and get us through to completion. I couldn't compliment the service enough, especially considering we saved £5k in estate agent fees by using Hatched.
Highly recommended in every respect. Easy, simple, stress free, exactly how house selling should be.

Dealing with Hatched has been one of the most stressful experiences I have ever had the misfortune to encounter.
I registered as a prospective Landlord after losing my Mother and making the decision to rent out her property as I felt I wasn't ready to sell. A lovely lady called Maxime came out to do the valuation and take photographs. I was very impressed with how the meeting went and really felt I had done the right thing in employing them to let my Mothers property. But sadly that is where my good relationship with Hatched began and ended. It took a week for the photographs and description to be put on the website, then I had to chase them up as the ad did not apear on Zoopla or Rightmove. I had one viewing via Hatched and she didn't show up. I had linked the advert via my own Facebook account and also paid to advertise on Gumtree. I had very many inquiries via Facebook and over 20 on Gumtree. I found a lovely tenant on Facebook, she had emailed hatched about the property and they didn't bother replying so she private messaged me via Facebook and we arranged a viewing privately. Afterwards when she wanted to make an offer I then passed her on to Hatched. That was over 6 weeks ago and her contract still isn't signed. I did all my own Gas and Electricity checks as they are just so slow winded in getting things done. I've regularily rang them sometimes twice a day to speak to someone and not been rang back and then I get palmed off with some lame excuse as to why I haven't been rung or something has failed to be completed. They even failed to chase up my tennants guarantor reference so it took two weeks for that to come back when they had a direct number to ring. I even did my own inventory for the property as it says on the website I don't have to have them do it and I was trying to save time as my tenant has to be out of her present property in a week and as a result I have been told they will not manage my property for me even though they have taken my tennants deposit and first months rent. They have told me the contract fee will be taken out of the rent which is fine but now telling me I have to pay a tennant finding fee when they didn't find the tennant. With the exception of Maxime Shakespeare and Nadia Mcleary who has been brilliant Hatched is a joke and a totally unprofessional waste of time. They have made what was already a stressful time after losing my Mother into a total nightmare. Do not use them if you we ant to remain sane.
My dealings with them are still not over for now but when I have my tennants deposit back to place in a secure account and the first months rent I hope never to have to deal with them again!!

Dealing with Hatched has been one of the most stressful experiences I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. There should be an option for ZERO stars. Never, ever, ever, ever use this company. Bad points: Never return calls. Don't return emails. There should be an option for ZERO stars.
Never, ever, ever, ever use this company.
Bad points:
Never return calls.
Don't return emails.
When you do finally get hold of someone you are promised an immediate call-back - this never happens.
Initial advert full of mistakes and missing detail.
Threatening.
Make you buy things you don't need or want.
Terrible customer service.
Rude staff.
Only interested in the money.
Quick to deflect blame - nothing is ever their fault - when it always is.
Can't be trusted.
Zero feedback.
Failed to meet their contractual obligations

We mistakenly thought by using on new on-line, cheaper service would be the way to go - we were completely wrong.
We are now going to use a traditional estate agent, and will be out of pocket because Hatched are demanding the fee, even though they didn't do anything to deserve it.

Hatched.co.uk offered us a great price to sell our home, and we did save about 50% of the price vs a traditional estate agent, but unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired! The initial meeting was informative and helpful, and the representative took away the details to create our advert that would appear on the Hatched website and Rightmove etc, stating it would take 24-48 hours. Three days later the advert was sent through in draft, error strewn (just one example was they had us as a terraced house when we were a semi-detached) with a lack of detail (including the use of stock house highlights such as "enviable location") and not highlighting the best points of the house. Had to completely re-write the ad myself, along with taking some new pictures as some of those taken by the representative focused more on the car parked in front of the house. Once the advert was up Hatched were ok at booking in viewings for us, however we had to repeatedly tell them to rearrange viewings as they had booked them during times we had already confirmed we were unavailable, not the end of the world, but didn't help to reduce the stress of the move for us. Once we had accepted the offer, the communication was patchy at best. More often than not I found out about key progress or issues in the chain through the estate agent we were buying through rather than Hatched, and on occasion when I then called Hatched to verify, they were unaware of the same and had to go and investigate, which left us feeling they weren't actively chasing and moving it forward, rather leaving it to run its course and only getting involved when specifically asked to. Also when I would call them for an update having not heard anything for a week or so, they would need to look me up on their system to determine who I was, by contrast the estate agent we were buying through knew which property we were buying as soon as we said our names, and they weren't even working for us as our agents. The customer service as a result felt disjointed and impersonal. Can't fault their prices, but overall I think you get what you pay for.

No matter how enticing * makes the service sound, do not signup.

I used 3 different estate agents to try and sell my house. The last would have cost me £9k in fee's. I felt that for £9,000 I should get more than photos taken in 20 mins, a 4 page laminated leaflet and a 20 year old rep walking people around our house with their shoes on. So I thought - let's do it myself, I made a list of all the online agents. There were 13 or so at the time. I called each one to get their offer and then called each one pretending to be a buyer to see how well they handled me. Hatched won hands down. I purchased a package where they offered to do the photos and plans but did the photos myself. I just wanted to really spend so time getting the pics perfect. Then they put me on all the top property websites - which is better than my previous estate agent. Next thing I know the house was sold and I had saved £8k. At last death to the high street agent! Who are over paid and often put sellers through hell to get their commission! Thank you hatched - you are the future!

I called to confirm that it has been indeed changed and said that I didn't even receive a call - there was no apology whatsoever. After going to the appointments scheduled one when the agents were 15 minutes LATE and didn't know anything about the property and another - THEY DIDNT SHOW UP at all.

After apartment viewing, I was waiting for the feedback more than 4 days.
During this time I did not receive any calls from the agency. I called them a couple of time and every time I heard - please wait and someone will call you back, but no one did.
They promised that I'm the only one in the queue and there is no reason to worry. And on the 5th day, they call me back (finally!) and told me that someone else has already rented this apartment.
This is the lowest level of services I've ever seen. I spend time and money because of agency incompetence.
If you want to have any guarantees and if you care about your time and money, in any case not to cooperate with Hatched.

It took me a while to decide upon an agent to sell my flat. I wanted to try the online agents and I'm really glad I chose Hatched. Neil was polite and courteous but also knowledgeable. A friendly face and voice on the phone during the sales process. He even offered to conduct viewings for me when I was unable to do so, at no extra cost. The flat went under offer within a 10 days, over asking price. The transaction itself wasn't as smooth as I'd wish but Elizabeth kept me up to date as was required and chased the details upon request. Would use them again. Thanks.

They came and did the pictures, floor plan and put the sign up the next working day after we registered. Their viewing system is very easy, you get texts and emails, they answer emails quickly and it is generally easy to get to speak to someone on the phone during the week, weekends are a bit slower. But remember highs street agents don't even work on a Sunday. You have to do your own views, for us not a problem. They are very quick to keep you updated and happy to make phone calls to viewers and the buyer on your behalf. Viewers can book viewings and get confirmation very quickly for longer business hours online and talk to a person on a Sunday. Overall a good experience with the only difference from the high street agents was the self viewings, I think online is the way this industry will go, Hatched made it easy for us.

Agents fees were very affordable, it was very clear what what included in package and having a range of paymemt options was great. I paid all my fees up front, so I had the best deal -approx £600

Using hatched was very cost effective, in fact it saved me. Small fortune, and the service I revived was very good, my house sold quickly.
I did not have a dedicated sales manager as I chose the sale package without this, this did not cause me any difficulties at all.
I would recommend using Hatched and I would use them again in the future.

We had valuations from both a traditional 'high street' estate agent as well as Hatched. There was no discernible difference in market knowledge, and I liked the simple and honest approach given to us by Phil, so we chose Hatched. The pricing was clear, professional photos were taken and our online portal set up. I loved having visibility of number of views and stats on our property, viewings were confirmed, and feedback sought and given. At every stage of the process the whole team were professional, courteous and efficient. So is there any difference between on-line and 'old school' agents? Only one, you get the same great service and market knowledge, but it costs less than 20% of the prices quoted by high street agents.

We were initially concerned about the prospect of using an online agent. However, after comparing costs with local estate agents we decided to use Hatched. I have never regretted the decision. The viewings were all booked online with a well-managed system. Most impressive however was the exceptional service offered by the staff at Hatched. Emails and phone calls were responded to extremely quickly and the staff proved to be knowledgable and professional at all times. Magdalena in particular went far above and beyond what would be expected of an agent. We saved well in excess of �1000 and received a 5* service.

It took Hatched just an hour and a half to sell our house - that was the length of time set for an Open House and at the end of that short period we had three offers, one just below, one at, and one above the asking price. One reason for choosing an online agent was because we wanted to be on hand to answer viewers' questions. We knew from our own viewing experience that when you view a property you want answers that an estate agent can't provide. Bizarrely our local agents insist that they show potential buyers around alone. We couldn't find any fault with the service Hatched provided. From the standard of the photographs taken during the initial visit to a last-minute phone call from Ben very early on the morning of our exchange to sort out an outstanding issue, the service was way, way better than we could reasonably have expected and, we suspect, much better than many high street agents would have offered us.
