Just a few words which I hope anyone thinking of being a Landlord or is a prospective one.
I travel a lot, often out of country and its vital that I have someone I know just 'gets it' and has things in hand, communicates regularly and can hustle on your behalf to get things done - particularly when things don't go smoothly with a sense of urgency.
Not having a good property Manager and Agent is false economy - Phoebe Gardner on the ongoing maintenance front and George Hawkins on the Sales front at the Coulsdon branch make a wonderful Team - Always quick to take care of issues, get tenants in at a good rental level and keeping them, and me, Happy.
Phoebe and George for me, make the ideal team, consistently for years.

My partner and I recently sold his flat through choices, and Will was our main point of contact and go to agent.
This email is just to say how impressed we were with how Will handled the selling of the flat. There were a lot of set backs, and the solicitors for the buyer were incredibly slow with the process but Will was brilliant with handling and pushing them for responses. He endeavoured to keep both myself and Chris in the loop throughout the whole process and we felt great comfort knowing he was on the case. We would like to give our sincere thanks to Will and appreciate all his hard work in this case. He was very approachable, understanding and quick at responding throughout the entire process. I hope that he continues all the hard work and goes far in his career!

Oganising this from where I live (200 miles away) would have been a nightmare, but Choices did all the running here, going the extra mile, making contact and appointments, arranging access etc. They also proved very patient with our buyers' solicitors, who were none too good at keeping in touch.

I was impressed by Choices attention to detail, producing a very good brochure for the property; advice about pricing in the current market; speedy and full replies to correspondence, 'phone calls and e-mails; and keeping me informed of offers and comments from potential buyers. I would be very happy to recommend Choices to anyone in the area needing estate agent services. Andrew dealt with the whole sale in a very professional way.

Today we have demanded the entirety of our ever expanding deposit back. These parasites have tried to rob us of close to £2500 for a 1 bedroom flat in Redhill. REDHILL!!
I would rather be in a hostel or a YMCA than rent with Choices. DO NOT use them, they find every excuse available to take your money but just as many to not return it. Their referencing company (Blinc) are just as useless and have managed to confuse the 27th of October (our prospective moving Date) with August 16th and September 25th to try to rush more money from us despite their own current Tennant being in until October 16th.
If it were possible to give less than 1* here I would, negative stars seems too positive.
I know from other reviews here I am not the only one.
They also charged us a £500 holding fee to remove the flat from the market, we paid this on 11th August, the flat is still on the market TODAY (September 24th)
I am disgusted, angry, frustrated and now not only out of pocket but potentially homeless and have to begin the process of searching again.
Even with a gun to your head, don't use Choices. The bullet is the safer bet - believe me.

Fee acceptable but don't really buy into the purchaser pays the fees. At the end of the day the purchaser has a budget. The seller still effectively pays the fees.

William Miller, Matthew Hewitt & Andrew Higham are the perfect estate agents. From the initial valuation Andrew i knew I would instruct Choices Redhill to sell my flat, Andrew was very fair on his contract length, sole agency fee and what my property was worth. Within 24 hours I had the flat getting professionally photographed, floor plans and EPC all included in the fee.
The two negotiators William Miller & Matthew Hewitt both called me to introduce themselves and arranged to come over and see the property so they could see what they were selling. I must say my previous experience with agents has been poor however these two were polite, asked plenty of questions and gave me some fantastic advice.
They always gave me regular updates with viewings giving me 24 hours notice prior to viewings, gave me honest feedback and always returned my calls when i called back. Can't believe you actually get estate agents who call you back when they say they will.
We have now accepted the offer, we received the paperwork and now found our perfect house. Choices in Redhill are fantastic i would highly recommend these guys.
