Biggleswade is an up and coming market town located on the river Ivel in Bedfordshire with an approximate population of 14,500. On a practical front, the town provides a mainline railway station offering services to a number of major destinations including Kings Cross in just 38 minutes. This makes the town an ideal place to set up home whilst working in London. Access to larger towns, such as Bedford, Stevenage and Hitchin is provided by the A1 and all are within a 20 minute drive. The historical city of Cambridge lies to the east of the region, 23 miles away.
The town itself provides a variety of shops and pubs and a local market every Saturday. Also there are a variety of good lower, middle and upper schools to suit all levels of education. There is a very comprehensive leisure centre which was opened in 1998 and one of its many features is a swimming pool. Property in the area ranges from Victorian terraces through to brand new properties built by major developers.

Cannot fault Thomas Morris, we've just bought a house that they were the sellers for, and every query we had was answered professionally and promptly. All the people we dealt with there were really friendly, and is also particularly recommend using their in-house mortgage broker, Martin Doy who's set up upstairs in the Biggleswade office. He couldn't have done more to help, and it really made the whole process smoother to be connected to the house we were buying through him as our broker.

When things got complicated due to a solicitors error instead of just giving up she put countless days into making sure our purchased stayed on track until we eventually completed ! We sold our property with Thomas Morris and we couldn't fault their service.
Daniel was friendly and we felt he really understood our property and how to market it well. He achieved our asking price just a few days after the house going on the market, which we were really pleased with. We had two other agents value the house who wanted to put it up for between 15 and 30k less than Daniel got for us, so we were very pleased.
Jon and Jen then took over the sale and helped us push things forward despite having quite difficult buyers. Without Jon's help and back and forth between us and the buyers I don't think we would have met our deadline for moving.
All the team are friendly and professional and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone else selling.

This is an update to my original review from last week.
Re: The vacant 2 bedroom house located in biggleswade that I requested to view last week, but was refused on the basis that I must prove that I'm proceedeable by using TM recommended borker.
Latest update: imagibe my surprise to find that this property has just been reduced by 10k. The advert does not stipulate cash buyer/ immediately proceedeable buyers only.
I note the numerous positive reviews for TM and am struggling to reconcile that against the quite frankly hostile TM representative I last spoke with last week

I approached Thomas Morris twice to view a property in Biggleswade. Initially I was advised that I would not be eligible to view as the owners had many viewings and were in the final stages of negotiations, but that nevertheless I was welcome to make an offer having not seen the property.
Having noticed that the property is still showing as available, I called and asked again to view and am now advised that I must prove that I'm in a position to proceed immediately with a purchase by sharing my finances and using their recommended broker.
It is unnerving to be told I must prove my financial position before viewing this and one other vacant property that I was interested in. I appreciate that it's strange times, and sellers may be apprehensive having people in their home due to Covid. But no Estate Agent should be stipulating their broker as the only means to be seen as a serious buyer looking for their next home.
I think it would be useful for estate agents to update their websites with prerequisites required from any potential buyers.

All staff at Thomas Morris were helpful, approachable and proactive in their approach to helping us both sell our home and buy another one.
They kept us up to date on how the market was shifting, worked with us to arrange viewings that were convenient for us and tried to keep things moving so that the sale went through as smoothly as possible.
Even when the covid-19 lockdown made moving difficult, they worked with us so that we were ready to complete as soon as guidance allowed. Very happy.

Then we all shut down. Over the lock down Ryan kept us informed of what was happening along with Jon. They answered all of our questions and were more than happy for us to pop into branch to chat about things. They also arranged viewings for us and gave feedback within an hour of the viewing.
As things turned out we did not have to sell our house but I would recommend the team if you are looking for a good agent.
