Haart Letting is the most professional letting agency I have met! Every property they released is all under great management. The video viewing they shared is exactly same as the property itself, it really amazed me when I was viewing the property physically later. My letting agent - Jamie, he is a responsible, trustworthy and considerable person. He always responds me quickly and shares the updates right away. I got many suggestions and helps from him. I do appreciate all the helps that Jamie provided. Haart treats Landlord and Tenant equally and prepares many detailed renting guidelines. They also provides the service of inventory report done by the third party, which is really helpful. Highly recommend Haart Letting for tenants!

We had a horrible experience renting a flat through haart lettings agency in Cambridge - indeed it was one of the main reasons for us to move out. We were searching for a flat during the first lockdown, when viewings were not available and we were not in the UK. The agents managed to send us a video of a wrong flat, the address of the property was not correct, so understandably, we were concerned. However, being desperate for a flat, we decided to roll with it, and what a bad idea it was! The haart lettings guys (Peter Witkowski and Jamie Canham, in particular) would constantly press us for quick answers/decisions/wiring monies, however when we needed help and clarity they would only meagerly explain what is going on. For example, we insisted on signing a contract before coming over, as crossing the borders w/o a reason was not a given at the time. They have postponed their duties to the last minute, leaving us in a limbo, not knowing if we are going to be able to travel at all, although the opposite was promised. Despite the fact that we moved over from a foreign country (with all of our stuff), they showed no flexibility for the key handover (which took literally 2 min) and we had to wait for the whole morning and afternoon until we got our keys, to find out that the flat was left dirty - yet, not inspected by the agent himself. Asking our landlord any questions through them was a tedious task - at some times they’d forget who we are, or forget to forward the questions for weeks. What they always found time for, was asking for 5 star reviews. When we asked about owning a pet we were held in the unknown for a long time, to be declined and to later found out that the letting agency even lied it being against the head lease (it’s not). When the time came to do the viewing for the flat, they would nag us about possible covid-19 symptoms, to then come to us and forget to bring their mask (seriously?) and forcing us to show people around themselves, basically, forcing us to do their job, while they’ve chilled outside. Now, after we’ve moved out, we’ve been charged 90 pounds for cleaning for some dust and fingermarks near the door handles. Not great, but what would you expect from them at this point. We’ve asked the new tenant if the cleaning service ever came - and you’ve guessed it, it didn’t. When pressed to answer when the cleaning is going to happen, they’ve told us that it will be done when the new tenant moves out. Now, tell me, how much sense does it make to charge us for the cleaning and how bad was the state of the flat if it is to be cleaned after the new people leave, possibly in years?

What agent could do to change your mind?
Dealt with all the issues as soon as we called them on the day of move in- or even if they had checked the house before we moved in they would have noticed these issues.

Firstly, the viewing of the house was late and we were not informed so we waited outside the house at 9.30am for over half an hour when we had travelled for over 4 hours to get to the viewing. The agent who did the viewing was very nice however we were told on the day of move in that he had actually left the company so all the email enquiries i had sent had basically been ignored.
The agent we were passed onto had never seen the house before and when we got to the house- it was dirty, it had not been cleaned for us at all and the curtain/blinds were hanging off, the cracks and banisters which we were told were being repainted/filled in by contractors that week had not been done. The garden was totally overgrown- however as we had not specifically gotten the agent to write down that we wanted it to be tidy for us to move in-the agents are refusing to do anything about it.
One thing we did specify though was that we wanted beds- we have been provided with them, however they have not been set up and are still completely flat packed. The inventory clerk advised us that as it is not our property we shouldnt try to set them up ourselves. We ended up having no beds that night and one of the blinds fell down and hit one of the tenants. This is the 2nd day and still nothing has been resolved. We have a house that is dirty, has no beds for us to sleep on, an overwhelmingly overgrown garden, broken fixtures and the agent won't return our calls.

What agent could do to change your mind?
If they had actually had the courtesy to call me when they said they would, or work a little harder to contact the current tenant then I wouldn\'t be so annoyed.

I called several times attempting to make an appointment to view the property. Originally we had an appointment, which was cancelled 30minites beforehand, as they had not managed to contact the current tenant. I rearranged. This appointment was cancelled for the same reason. I rearranged, and called the evening before to confirm that the viewing would go ahead. "Our lettings team is busy at the moment, I just need to speak to my colleague and someone will call you back." No call back, until the next morning, 1hr before the appointment, to cancel the viewing. At least I got an apology for the lack of contact the previous night. So we rearranged the viewing again. I called the morning of the appointment, to see if it was still going ahead "I'll have to get someone to call you back, the lettings team are all in a meeting now". I said the call would have to be in the next 30mins, as that would be when we'd have to leave to get to the property. No call. I walked past the office later that morning, and every desk had a staff member sat at it, laughing, joking and eating sandwiches. I never did get a call back, bu decided if they can't get their act together enough to actually fulfill an appointment, which had been rearranged over 3 weeks, then I didn't want to be renting with them. I've since seen that the flat has been let, so obviously they did manage to let someone round to see it, they just didn't have the courtesy to actually work when I was the one asking.

We moved in and there were lots of pet hair in the house, we had to clean up the house entirely and the landlord let us a silicone pot to fix part of the bath and some taps that were a bit loose. After trying to contact Haart agents in 3 months, they finally came back with a reply, they want to deduct almost 400 GBP of my 1000 GBP deposit for fixing the loose taps that were already loose before we moved in. They are trying to rip us off... but we are not going to allow them. HAART is SHAMEFUL! Please DONT USE HAART for health safety reasons! I am currently (after 3 months) starting a formal complaint procedures. (BTW, before we moved in we had to pay twice the deposit otherwise they did not give us the house keys as the money transfer did not clear it out)
