I had an incredibly positive experience searching for a property to buy with Aston Rowe, even though the context – an acrimonious divorce and sale of my ex marital home -would would have otherwise not made it so. This was largely because the agent, Hollie Stinson, who managed my search was really understanding and very patient and quickly became better at knowing what I wanted than I did! As a result, I did not have my time wasted viewing properties that would not have worked for me, and I was introduced to properties with a tailored approach with the pros and cons for me as an individual. As I was looking in a specific and very popular area, where the best properties were being snapped up on the first day of viewings, this enabled me to make a decision quickly at a first viewing which was what was required in the market to not miss out. As a result, I ended up with my dream home and at a very competitive price. There was a difficult negotiation after the survey as the house had some structural issues that needed remedying but Hollie, and and her boss, Harry, handled this with extreme professionalism and it was solved quickly and smoothly. I couldn't recommend Aston Rowe enough and Harry, and, in particular Hollie as she was an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Aston Rowe is a total disappointment. Really bad services and very unprofessional. Extremely disorganised and unprofessional. Every time I called the office I spoke to a different agent, who didn't seem to communicate with each other. Only received the tenancy agreement on the day the tenancy started. Despite having organised an appointment with Eva to collect the keys for the property on the start date of the tenancy, we arrived at the office but none of the agents present knew about the appointment or the key collection or the tenancy agreement. Meanwhile, the moving van was parked outside the flat waiting to deliver my boxes! A very stressful situation. After that was eventually sorted out, we arrived at the property to find that it had not been cleaned and the previous tenants had left broken furniture behind. After a fight they eventually organised cleaning and removal of the broken furniture. Throughout the tenancy they were consistently difficult to deal with and unhelpful and on more than one occasion turned up at the property without prior warning. I do not recommend Aston Rowe.

- No viewings booked for 2 weeks, no offers in 2 months
- Feedback had to be chased for and was vague
- Repeatedly asked me for information already given about the property
- 16 week sole-agency clause
Harry who comes round to do the sales pitch does not do the viewings. The agents who carry out the viewings and the agents who liaise directly with potential buyers - not guaranteed to be the same people - obviously need more training.
I took my property off the market early.

When one finds a suitable property, it's just impossible to arrange a viewing - agents don't return calls, don't reply to emails. We couldn't see any of the properties we liked during 3 weeks of chasing...

This was without even giving me the chance to meet the landlord. It also took them so long to refund my money. I find the agents extremely unprofessional and would consider taking my complaint to the ombudsman. It is worth noting that most agents speak to the landlord first, before charging you money. I find this process quite unfair.

What irritated us the most was that they tried to scam us by attempting to charge us £900 from our deposit. £200 was from a key the landlord LOST and without informing us, got a locksmith in. They consistently tried to blame us. Funnily enough, I was able to locate photos that Aston Rowe had provided of the keys in the lock of which Aston Rowe continued to argue saying it was our liability even though there was PROOF of both keys in the locks in the check out inventory! They even tried to say we had 3 exits from the floor plan although 2 doors was a sliding door. It was evident they knew we didn't loose the keys but were doing anything to get the money out of us. (Y) also attempted to charge us £400 for a cleaning fee after telling us on the phone there was no need to re-clean and suspiciously enough they didnt email me this so took me a while to try and prove this, after a very long time we did by stating times of phone calls and having to provide them with the initial cleaning invoice. They tried to charge us for minor wear and tear issues such as a slightly loose bed slat. I left the house in September and Aston Rowe only managed to submit their 'proof' to Deposit agency for the unresolved matters after 3 months! I managed to get my deposit back which we won in January the next year!
I have named the 2 people X and Y as the terms and conditions say I am not allowed to defame.

Aston Rowe are a highly competent agency. I worked with Harry . Hammonds who understands the local market & valued my apartment appropriately for the prevailing market conditions. Aston Rowe have been the Letting Agent for my property for a number of years now.
Aston Rowe always provide a first class service which is second to none.
In particular, Eddie Roche is extremely professional, knowledgeable and efficient and nothing is too much trouble. He has let my property many times and has always made it a stress free experience.
All of the team at Aston Rowe have proved to be professional and extremely helpful.
