I have just completed on my house in OX4 with Chamberlain Evans. The house had some unusual features and was not the easiest to sell. It had been on the market with another estate agency 7 months without an offer before I decided to . They gave me what I felt was a good and realistic valuation. From the moment they took the house on I was delighted with their service. They gave me regular feedback after viewings (unlike the previous agent), communicated very well with me and sensitively with the tenants. I got an offer after a few weeks which has gone through smoothly. I do think it makes a difference that all viewings are done by both Richards who own the business and have intimate knowledge of Oxford, particularly East Oxford, at a streetbystreet level. I think this contributed to their ability to sell my house quickly and at a price I am very happy with. Thank you both - will definitely be selling with you next time when the time comes around!

We have recently sold or rather exchanged contracts on my deceased brother-in-law's house in East Oxford. It was not an easy sale because of the state of the property and the complications of probate, family interests etc, but the two Richards were very understanding, patient and professional throughout the process. They undertook many viewings and went 'above and beyond' to ensure there were no problems with the vacant property, and to keep us all informed, as we were not local to Oxford.

We have just exchanged contracts on a sale handled by C and E.
I have worked in property for 40 years and sold 25 plus houses over that time, through many different agents. The Richards Chamberlain and Evans are frankly the best people I've ever used. In terms of their mature experience, pre handling of problem areas before difficulties got established, and generally advising me in detail, they are outstanding. I know this requires many years of experience, and it explains why, after well over a decade, they are still trading so successfully when many sharp suited others have come and gone.
Don't be fooled by prominent offices full of youngsters, go and talk to proper Agents is my advice.
Ours was a complex sale of a property with tenants in place, and diplomacy was required at times.

Great experience selling my house through Chamberlain Evans. I was pretty clear that I wasn't sure that I really wanted to sell when I first started conversations, and I really appreciated to chance to talk to someone openly about the process and price with no pressure or hounding afterwards to get my place on the market (as other estate agents did). When I was ready to press go, things got underway very quickly which was great. Richard was always helpful, approachable, professional and his knowledge of the local area is second to none.
