This review is specifically about Geniene Tuitt, who took over the management of our London Fields property towards the end of 2022. Having been passed between quite a few different BlakeStanley property managers in recent years (they seemed to come and go fast, with the ball getting dropped a LOT between managers), we finally find ourselves in the very fortunate position of having Geniene running the ship!
In addition to being an extremely competent manger, my experience of working with Geniene has been nothing but positive. She is efficient, fair, responds quickly to any issues, and really balances the needs of the landlord with those of the tenant. I finally feel like the property is being guided by someone with their eye on the ball, who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and tackle potentially challenging situations with grace and confidence (ie negotiating with Hackney Council). I cannot recommend Geniene highly enough.

My experience with Jordi was incredibly frustrating, a real nightmare. She was consistently unfriendly and always sided with the landlady, rather than addressing our concerns fairly. There was a leak under our shower that caused the ceiling of our neighbor’s flat to collapse. Instead of investigating the issue, Jordi immediately tried to hold us responsible all the damages. She demanded that we cover the costs the damages to our neighbor's property. Naturally, we refused, as it was not our fault (we obviously have no ability to see through the floor). At the end of our tenancy, she collaborated with the landlady in an attempt to withhold our deposit. After four months of stressful backandforth, we eventually won the dispute and were able to recover our deposit.

Lilly had made the whole process an enjoyable breeze.
Unfortunate situations meant we had leave home much sooner than originally anticipated. I was prepared for this situation to go on, but fortunately it didn't. We were able to find a great place to rent through BlakeStanley, then from finding it to moving in was less than a few weeks.
We aren't aficionados of the real estate world but Lilly was available, clear with information and language and even when office work got in the way we were informed in the moment. We always knew where we were in the process. Her friendly tone helping keep the whole game nice, smooth and easy.
In an email I had sent to Lilly directly I commented on how we felt looked after throughout the entire process as she’d been dependable, responded to all questions and emails - and always much quicker than expected.
I honestly could not find a fault in her customer care and communication.

He worked ferociously hard to get loads of viewings – many more than I was expecting, then negotiated a great deal – well above the asking price. Things were a bit tricky during the difficult limbo between agreeing the sale and completion, and I must confess I nearly lost the plot on more than one occasion. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
Complaints Procedure
In order for your concerns to be addressed as efficiently as possible, we would ask that you raise your complaint in writing to the member of staff that you are in direct contact with. Your complaint will be acknowledged within 24 hours of receipt. The person in receipt of the complaint will aim to rectify your concerns within 3 working days of the complaint being made.
If your complaint hasn’t been resolved within 3 working days, it will be escalated to the Department Manager who will aim to resolve your complaint within 10 working days of the original complaint. If your complaint remains unresolved then it will be escalated to the Office Manager.
If the Office Manager is still unable to resolve your complaint within 13 working days of original complaint then it will be escalated to a Director.
The Director will acknowledge your complaint on the date that the complaint is passed to them. The Director will aim to rectify the problem to a satisfactory outcome within 2 working days of them receiving the complaint.
Your complaint should be dealt with within 15 working days of the original complaint, unless exceptional circumstances apply.
We are Members of The Property Ombudsman
If your complaint still remains unresolved then it can be escalated to The Property Ombudsman.
