From when we initially viewed our property to when we completed our purchase Bill Humphries was extremely helpful in guiding us through the process. During the 4 months it took to complete Bill kept us fully informed of what was happening and when the process seemed to have stalled Bill was proactive in contacting the other Agents /Solicitors to identify the issue and drive the process forward. Bill was always friendly, courteous and professional at all times throughout the process and I would certainly use Bill again and I highly recommend his services.

We brought our house through Bill Humphries who I would highly recommend as he is not your average estate agent! When we went to look around a couple of houses he lets you go off and explore by yourself and does not rush you. Our house move seemed to be ever ending and it was Bill that kept us updated on what was happening in the chain even with our buyer. He goes above and beyond and checks in on you too. Micky and I thank you everything that you did us, answering any queries, getting answers us promptly and just being caring and understanding. Best estate agent around!

I recently sold my house while living many hours away. Bill Humphries did much more than expected of an estate agent. He helped to enable work to be carried out by others when I couldn’t be there, he liaised with the buyer on what was important to them, he helped clear the house when I couldn’t be there, he chased other people in the property chain to keep the sale process going and regularly informed me of the progress of the sale in a friendly and competent manner.

Comments (0)We first met Bill in December 2022 when he arranged a property viewing for us. At the time we were struck by his professionalism, knowledge & approachable manner. He let us know that there was another interested party who was a cash buyer so it was no surprise when, a few days later, he advised that the owners had decided to accept that offer. Whilst we understood their reason we were disappointed as the house was just what we were looking for but Bill promised to keep in touch if the situation changed. Scroll forward to a week before Easter & we received a message from him advising us that the property was back on the market but he expected that we may have moved on since our meeting. We told him that we were within days of exchanging contracts on a new-build property so wished him luck finding a replacement buyer. As it turned out, the developer took the decision to cancel our agreement a few days later so we were delighted to be able to contact Bill and arrange a (somewhat belated) second viewing. Our offer was accepted a day later &, two months after that, we moved in.

Throughout the process Bill was proactive and promptly answered any enquiries that we had. His advice and comments were much appreciated as was the support he provided when we told him of the issues that we were having with the developer.
All in all, we were very impressed by Bill and were extremely grateful to him for following through on his promise to keep us informed. Without that, we may not have been able to fulfil our dream of moving to the countryside.
If I had to describe him in one word, it would be ‘gentleman’.
