I've had a lot of interactions with Brown and Cockerill Estate Agents. In 2008 I bought my flat through them, and then rented this same flat out through them until 2023 when I sold my flat through them.
Everybody I have dealt with at Brown and Cockerill have been competent, friendly and have gone out of their way to make whatever process I was going through as easy and straight forward as possible.
My main contact whilst letting my flat was Leasa Marriott, whose communication was excellent and would always resolve issues efficiently to the satisfaction of both me as the landlord and the tenant. After a few years of trying to manage the property myself, Brown and Cockerill really did remove the stress and pressure associated with renting out a property. Leasa would notify me of any issues and and provide enough information to inform a decision, and would then do all of the hard work to fix the problem and then update me.
When it came to selling my flat Aaron Batten was my main contact and he was invaluable with communication between me and the buyer, especially as we were both keen to complete as quickly as possible as the delay in communication between our solicitors was becoming increasingly frustrating. Aaron explained everything that was happening and offered advice where needed. He rang me as soon as the sale completed which demonstrates how personable and invested he was throughout the process.
I would not hesitate going to Brown and Cockerill again and would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Complaints procedure: 1. Please raise your complaint with the property advisor that is handling your case who will try to resolve your complaint as quickly as possible. 2. If the property advisor cannot resolve the issue for you, then please submit your complaint in writing addressed to the Branch Manager. 3. We will respond to your complaint in writing within 3 working days and commence with a full investigation. 4. A full written outcome will be sent to you within 15 working days (in line with the Property Ombudsman guidelines). 5. If you are not satisfied with the full written outcome response from the Branch Manager, you can write to the Managing Director who will respond to you with a statement if the final findings of the matter within 15 days. 6. If you are still not satisfied with the outcome, you can raise your complaint with the Property Ombudsman http://www.tpos.co.uk/. The Ombudsman will request that you have exhausted the internal complaints procedure before contacting them. 7. When you have raised a complaint with the Property Ombudsman they will write to us requesting our version of events. A case officer with then undertake a formal review of your complaint based on the evidence and documents from both sides.
