Do not let from this agent. I rented the house with an agreement that a certain standard would be met when I moved in, it was not but after a couple of weeks a few jobs had been done. The garden was in a state, as was the inside of the house, poor decoration (done by the estate agent) with paint splashes everywhere, the house had mould in multiple rooms and stinking carpets, which they said was not an issue until they went round to do work on the bathroom in that first two weeks, after which they believed us and steam cleaned it three times. 6 months later we are still waiting for 3 jobs on that list to be done Extremely poor administration, if they email back it is just to delay matters, I don't believe that they actually do much organising of repairs. I believe they concentrate their efforts on getting the customer in then just ignore them once they have paid the fees. Avoid at all costs.
What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent could have responded to emails and phone calls in a faster fashion. Giving times and dates that things would be sorted, instead of \"this is in hand\" type emails. Nothing has been done to assure me that the work that is needed will be carried out at all.

Avoid this Agency. They are absolutely useless.
We have rented a house with disgusting walls. We have asked them to paint it and they were always saying that someone will come but nothing happened at all im a year and a half.
2 housemates left the house in March and they get the full deposit back (absolutely late). Now I have recently moved out and for my surprise they came to do a check out (just to me) and I have been charged from my deposit the amount of £95 for check out fees.
I wasn't happ at alm with that but I thought maybe they changed the process. Another housemate has left after me and he received the full deposit back.
That is discrimination. Why I should be the only stupid paying the fee if I didnt ask for a check out?
They are SHIT.

Ended up taking them to despite with the dps and got my full deposit back. While trying to sort this out one trip saw three members of staff screaming at me , to such an extent one man asked to take me out back because another client was coming. During this complete unproffesionallism I was even accused of an orgy because I had my brother and his male friends stay.

Anglia Accommodation Services (Green End Rd, Cambridge) managed my property for a number of years. Even though my property was a long way away from the office, Jean Jarvis always went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure a second to none property management service. I was promptly informed of any issues that needed my attention of work that needed my approval for payment. Jean personally visited my property to carry out inspections and providing that my tenants paid their rent on time, a few days later the funds were in my bank account. If rent payments were late coming in from the tenants I was always informed of this. I would have no hesitation in recommending Anglia Accommodation Services to any existing or would be landlord/lady.

What agent could do to change your mind?
They could be easier to contact, call back when they say they\'re going to and generally be a little more professional all round. What kind of letting agency LOSES the keys to their properties?? Ludicrous.

When eventually we did gain access to the stairs, it turned out he'd not been given the keys to the flat, so we never got to see the property at all.

While I haven't rented from this agency, I recently arranged to view a property to rent. The agent sent out to show us around called us 30 minutes before the arranged time to find out 'where we were' and asked if we could come early. We were then left standing outside the property for about fifteen minutes because he couldn't work out how to open the front door! It was absolutely laughable. When eventually we did gain access to the stairs, it turned out he'd not been given the keys to the flat, so we never got to see the property at all.
His response to this? "You'll have to come another day."
When explaining that wasn't possible due to other commitments, he said he could go back to the office to request the correct key and would call us when he was on his way back. An hour passed, then two, then three, so we called back again and the agent informed us they had LOST the keys to the flat. Firstly, thanks very much for letting us know. Secondly, I'm glad this happened before we rented any property from them! I'm very unimpressed at the unprofessional way this was handled, will be telling my friends to avoid this agency too.
In short? This letting agency was about as much use as a chocolate fire guard.

Incredibly unprofessional company, when I moved into the property it had not been cleaned, the paint was flaking from the walls in large patches and the glass pane on the front door was broken. The company avoided communication at all costs and requests for repairs on the property were largely ignored, despite some major issues such as water leaking through the roof and a mouses nest discovered under the sink, as well as more general issues such as the washing machine breaking and hot water periodically stopping. This is all without mentioning the incredibly rude and unprofessional manner in which the staff communicate. Upon leaving this property I have yet to receive my deposit back and all attempts at correspondence have been ignored. I implore you for your own mental well being to not let with this company, you would be better facilitated in a homeless shelter than this cowboy operation

What agent could do to change your mind?
The agency repeatedly and systematically lied to me, misled me and mismanaged the property I was renting from them. They are also treating my deposit monies in a suspicious manner and I will uncover what\'s going on.

I asked them which govt-backed deposit protection scheme they'd put my deposit into and they have not responded. I suspect they are managing deposit monies illegally! They are a truly awful company and I'm going to do what I can to ensure justice is served to them.

Absolutely the worst lettings agency I have ever used in my life.
I rented a flat but through these guys but after a couple months the washing machine stopped working and I requested it to be fixed/replaced. Had to call many times over many weeks only to be finally told neither they (managing the property) or the landlord (flat owner) were prepared to do anything. This is despite it being said so in the contract that they are responsible for these sorts of things. Was very unhappy. The flat came with a washing machine, and then I didn't have one any more. Never responded to anything else I contacted them about.
After I gave my notice to end the tenancy I told them to contact me in advance for any viewings, and they are not to do any whilst I am not present. Then after a week they made a viewing for my flat without notifying me and when I wasn't in, but my girlfriend was staying at mine while she was poorly. She thought someone was breaking in and was very scared, obviously, with people shouting through the door to let them in over a period of time. I was very angry with them about this, and then they had the gall to blame me for wasting a viewing saying that they had texted me to let me know of the viewing taking place. When in reality they didn't text, email, or call me about this viewing, or received confirmation from me that I was OK with this viewing. The word "idiots" don't even begin to describe them.
When I moved out after 6 months, everything went OK at first, showed them proof of bills paid, checkout all OK, etc. Then they didn't refund my deposit after a couple weeks. More calls, voicemails, emails, etc. Same thing every week. They say they will sort it out then don't actually do anything.
Weeks turn into months. Finally I can't stand it any more and demand they refund me in person. Then when they try and process my deposit, they say they have to deduct a £90 cleaning charge off me because apparently i left the flat in a bad state! When I left it cleaner than when I had moved in! No mention of this during the check out or anything in the months waiting for my deposit to be returned. So not only were they taking the Mickey not giving me my deposit back, but also trying to swindle me for a cleaning fee outside of any contract. I didn't stand for it, and after much arguing they finally gave in about this charge. Then they said they would have done an online transaction that afternoon for the money, they didn't actually process it because it was cancelled. So my deposit was sent 3 days later when they finally put the transaction through. I am 100% sure if I wasn't as firm as I was I would still be waiting for my deposit even now, and £90 poorer.
I don't understand how a lettings agency can be this incompetent and so awful from start to finish. I wish I had read reviews from this website before renting. It seems my terrible experience is not a one-off case. Avoid at all cost.

After having dealings with Anglia Accommodation Services at three different properties since 2008 (not out of choice). I can definitely say that they are a terrible letting agents. They do not respond to calls or reports for repair, you are better off fixing the problem yourself. They are also terrible at preparing properties for new tenants, every property has not been cleaned despite the previous tenants being charged for cleaning services ( one occasion included broken glass on the staircase and we had to refuse to move in until the property was made safe). I have now finally got my deposit back SIX MONTHS after leaving the property. The front of house staff are friendly but incompetent at times. The management is a joke, actually shouting in our faces one more than one occasion in front of other customers and will pretend not to be in on other occasional(when visible and not wanting to deal with an issue). They may have low rental prices but from my own experience it is not cheaper in the long run STAY CLEAR.

They had us live in a house with no heating in the winter, the house was as cold as it was outside, it snowed! they lied saying that the boiler wasnt working because of us??? so when everyone brought electric heaters and the bill came up more than they wanted thats when the heating miraculously... They need to just shut down, theres no level of help for them.

They had us live in a house with no heating in the winter, the house was as cold as it was outside, it snowed! they lied saying that the boiler wasnt working because of us??? so when everyone brought electric heaters and the bill came up more than they wanted thats when the heating miraculously came on . . . for 1 day, they are very stingy and don't want to pay to sort anything out in an emergency with the house they were nowhere to be found!. They are nothing but a bunch of lazy, unprofessional thieves who wouldn't know honesty and profession if it grew on their own skin. So if you hate yourself or are wishing to experience a BAD living situation rent from anglia accommodation services you wont be disappointed actually they take disappointment to a whole other level

If you are thinking of renting a property and Anglia is the last estate agent on the face of the planet. You would probably be better off placing an advert in the window of your local newsagent. Phones in their office are incoming calls only. On top of that the manager has a disgraceful attitude to people in my opinion. All their interested in is getting their commission nothing else. I am appaled to see this kind of service. Do they only employ incommpetent people?

I WOULD NEVER GO WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND THEM. AVOID!
