We definitely enjoyed living in a property managed by RMA. They were always helpful and quick in providing assistance for the few maintenance issues that arose. The property itself was great and we had no unpleasant surprises. The process of signing and renewing the lease as well as handing over to a replacement tenant has been very smooth. Our lettings administrator Karina has always been particularly responsive and friendly. Would recommend!

I would give this agency zero stars if possible. Very very poor service. In a house with multiple issues that were never addressed and then they attempted to steal the deposit with completely illegitimate claims. Beware. I would recommend taking an itinerary of the house you move into because it was clear this agency had absolutely no idea of the state of the house and anything in it. Finally, it's worth mentioning when we dealt with the landlord directly he was very reasonable, RMA are simply an awkward middle-man who made everything more difficult along the way when it was unnecessary. Avoid at all costs.

I would give ZERO stars if possible. Worst letting agency I have ever experienced.
They never replied to our emails, we moved into a furnished house where half of the furniture was broken and it took more than 2 months for them to get it fixed.
Now that we moved out, they deducted deposit from our account for damages that were already there when we moved in. Plus £15 for a lightbulb which costs £4.99??
BE CAREFUL AND TAKE PICTURES OF EVERY CORNER OF YOUR HOUSE/FLAT WHEN YOU MOVE IN!!!!

RMA customer service is shocking. Throughout the tenancy they were negligent - not responding to maintenance issues. I recently checkout of a property managed by RMA properties on Cowley, and I had a really good experience with Lauren; that's why I feel the need to write her a review. Lauren managed my flat and was always very nice and helpful. Of course, it's not always easy when some things needed fixing, especially when things didn't go smoothly with the contractor; however, Lauren always tried to help me sort them out. Estate agents are generally disliked for good reasons, but Lauren was very nice and reasonable at checkout.

From the start RMA have been more than disappointing. Their organisation is actually disgusting. When trying to confirm our tenancy initially, our private and confidential documents (photocopies of passports and bank letters) were lost for multiple tenants on 3 occasions by RMA. This is unacceptable and a breach of confidentiality. We were given only a weeks notice of when payments were due and we were only given this notice when we rang. Once we moved in, we found the property had not been deep cleaned. There was a wasp infestation. A window was not functioning. The walls which were described as 'freshly painted' were covered in marks. The mattresses were beyond unacceptable for both hygiene and comfort. The shower did not work at all and none of the above had been notified to us. After mentioning the above to RMA. It took one week to have the shower fixed, meaning one week without showers. It took 4 weeks and a lot of prompting for new mattresses. It's took nearly 2 months to get the window fixed, with lots of messing us around about when someone would come. The property was and won't be deep cleaned or 'freshly painted'. There is still a wasp issue. Workmen have been given keys to the property and turned up without us being informed. Every time we have tried to remind RMA of an issue, there is an 'excuse' or they have forgotten we needed an issue fixing. They ignore our emails, as we know they have been seen but no response sent. On the phone they are hesitant to help. Our estate agent Lauren Jiovani has done none of the organisation herself, in fact this was left to us, and she has not communicated with us. Finally after being asked if we would renew our contract, purely from the lack of choice, we decided to, and informed RMA (Lauren) of this, well within the time limit. Again when we had no response, we rang to confirm they had received our email and that our tenancy would be renewed. We were told they had confirmation of our renewal and were writing up paperwork, which they would email us regarding when to come and sign. Again we heard nothing, until we came home to find a 'to let' sign outside our property. We rang and again, due to lack of organisation and communication, our renewal had not been confirmed, and so this issue will 'be fixed' although we now do not know if our tenancy will be jeopardised, as when we asked RMA 'they didn't know'.

Overall I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. They have given us nothing but hell, and speaking to friends who also use RMA I know our experience is not a one off. If RMA weren't guaranteed work due to oxford being a student city, there is no way they would still have a business. No right minded adult would use this company and unfortunately is the situation where we have no choice.
There should be more standards and support to help students who are stuck in a situation like this with 'letting agents' who are quite frankly taking liberties to call themselves as such.

The only reason to do business with this company is because they have a market monopoly on private rentals in certain areas in Oxford. Unfortunately, the office is highly disorganised, slow to react to repair/maintenance problems and mismanaged. At nearly every stage of my experience with them they have been ill prepared to respond... routinely giving tenants the wrong sets of keys on move-in day, losing their own keys for tenant rooms and therefore rendering repairs highly inconvenient for tenants at no fault of their own, and in general being very slow to communicate and respond. Two bedrooms in our house have had ceiling leaks for over two weeks and these issues remain resolved. We moved into a filthy common area because RMA had not arranged for a proper cleaning after the last tenants had departed. The departing tenants had left a large pile of rubbish, that RMA had allowed to sit and rot in the back garden (claiming it would be resolved - but it never was) until I took photos and emailed a complaint. One of the residents in my building rented at another location with RMA last year and said it was similarly awful. On the day that I went to collect my keys, the manager shouted at me from inside her office while I was in the lobby area outside. The lack of professionalism of RMA Properties employees is impressive. I hope they read this review and make some necessary changes.

Overall, I have a very positive experience RMA, especially Fiona was very nice and helpful with the property viewing and the application process. I had many questions, and she gladly helped explaining all the process to me. Reyanda and everyone at the office were also very nice to help me with the followup process. Sometimes people tend to blame everything on the agents, but I think the customers should also come prepared and be informed. So far, I think RMA has been very reasonable.

Roughly the same as everywhere else, though unlike some other places they don't offer the option of making amendments in the contract, which means you're essentially paying for just a copy of last year's contract but even with that the fees aren't ridiculous.

Barney and Fiona have helped me find my ideal flat in Oxford very quickly. From the start they have listened to exactly what I wanted and suggested only properties that fit my criteria. Fiona also stayed in the office late to allow me to make the booking. I'm very grateful to them both.
