DO NOT LET WITH SCOTT FRASER!! If I could put minus stars I would!
We arrived with MULTIPLE breakages and damages including the bathroom window which only got fixed after 2 YEARS! Lived there for 2 years and only some maintenance failures and breakages (that were there at the beginning) were fixed. Garage was falling down and an absolute joke. They asked us to pay a renting membership instead of deposit and when we pulled out to pay the deposit they took 5 months to sort it and wrongly continued to charge us ‘renting membership’. At the end of our time there they had the cheek to charge us with the breakages that were there at the beginning despite evidence of our reports.

Paid for a parking place and couldn't get permit. I got defrauded by Scott Fraser.
Boris Bobev couldn't sort the permits and I end up paying lots of fines and I am not abşe to use parking space I paid for. Terrible.

These estate agents like Scott Fraser have little regard for the law when it comes to tenants. The law was changed recently to give tenants more rights and and a number or laws were brought in to stop discrimination. For example, you are not allowed to refuse tenants with pets now without giving an extremely good reason, yet Scott Fraser are still putting this on their listings. Landlords have the upper hand far too much simply because demand is so high in the renting sector. Hence, they can put all these "conditions" on tenants and cherry pick. It's quite disgusting. I note all of Scott Frasers positive reviews come from landlords and people selling their property but they have nothing but bad reviews from their tenants. This is not the only estate agent openly breaking the law but nearly all of the Witney Estates are openly doing this. As said, they have and the landlords have the upper hand so can put all kinds of condition on tenants. Shame on all of you!!!

The amount of issues I have encountered with Scott Fraser in the past year is ridiculous! Right from the very first day I was overcharged and spent a whole afternoon sorting out their mistake. It then took three months to receive actual clear answers about our landlord and bills after only every receiving one or two cryptic details. Little to no communication at all - I think the last time someone actually picked up one of my calls was 6 months ago. No idea who the current landlord even is! Multiple problems with the boiler, the shower, fridge that were either neglected for weeks or still haven't been resovled. To top it off, I've been living with a mouse infestation for 4 months now with no action taken, they're in the kitchen, the living room and upstairs by the bedrooms. And now the estate agents are telling me the rent is being raised! Don't go anywhere near Scott Fraser if you want to live not just stress-free but in basic humane conditions!

We decided to use Scott fraser in witney to sell our property.
Tom mizzen was the agent.
We had a block booking of viewings the next day after placing on rightmove.
We had lots of interest and was told by Tom that a house is only worth so much, which I found an odd thing for him to say. Even though people were still wanting to view our house Tom guided us in to accepting an offer.
He told us that they were cash buyers so we accepted. Things were progressing very slowly so I had to chase up all the time.
Our developers had to confirm with Tom that our buyers were cash buyers to be told that they were having to get a mortgage now. But not only a mortgage but a remortgage as well.
All through the selling and buying process I had to do the chasing.
We later found out that our buyers were desperate to buy in our village and I think Tom knew he had a buyer so put us off any other viewings.
Very very disappointed with Scott Fraser WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AS THEY LIE TO THERE CLIENTS.
For what they charge there clients for the amount of work they actually do is diabolical.

They would not listen to reason and their Customer Relations department did not respond to my emails. I wasted weeks of my time researching the spurious claims and gathering evidence to refute them, and I'm loathe to waste any more of my time describing all the frustrations. Unfortunately, it costs them nothing to try withholding deposits, in the hope that students are either too naïve or inexperienced to refute the claims. However, I was determined not to let them get away with it.

Eventually the dispute went to the TDS for adjudication, and of the £1036 originally claimed by the letting agent, only £55 was deemed a fair amount to award to the landlord by the independent adjudicator! Enough said.
If you do still plan to use this outfit, I strongly recommend you study the Check-In inventory carefully (ours was hidden on a web-portal and we were not made aware of its existence), take lots of photographs on Day 1, keep records of all correspondence (you'll need this as evidence for the TDS) and do not assume fair play. Alternatively, just be prepared to forego £1000 of your deposit at the end of the tenancy, for an easy life.

I moved out of a property managed by Scott Fraser. The following happened:
1. Scott Fraser gave the incorrect keys to the approved cleaner that we hired to clean the flat after check-out, so the cleaners could not access and clean the flat.
2. We received the check-out report which stated that the property was not cleaned and that this was our responsibility even though this was a result of Scott Fraser's mistake. We spoke to a letting agent who said she would sort this out.
3. The check-out report contained a list of maintenance issues, which we thoroughly responded to. It was clear that the person doing the check-out report was not comparing the state of the furniture and property with the agreed check-in report. The letting agent again confirmed that she was sorting this out.
4. When following up why we had not yet received our deposit back we were informed by another letting agent that the previous letting agent we were dealing with had left Scott Fraser.
5. We expressed concern that we had explained and resolved the cleaning and maintenance issues with the previous letting agent and now she had left. The new letting agent assured us that she was fully aware of our situation.
6. At this point, Scott Fraser was in breach of our tenancy agreement as they had 10 working days to propose deposit deductions, and more than 10 working days had passed.
7. We followed up with the letting agent at Scott Fraser daily, relaying our concerns and reminding her that Scott Fraser was in breach of contract. She repeatedly said this is being resolved but would not discuss the details or provide timelines.
8. We received the proposed deductions 5 working days later than contractual requirements.
9. The deductions detail a cleaning fee relating to the mistakes made by Scott Fraser. This is after repeatedly communicating and being reassured that this was sorted. We cannot understand how this error was repeated so many times.
10. The deductions also incorrectly claimed that we were responsible for maintenance that is clearly identified in the check-in report with supporting photographic evidence. Moreover these were fully explained in our recent emails which has clearly been ignored.
11. This whole process has been extremely frustrating and has wasted a lot of our time. We literally had to do the job that Scott Fraser is hired to do by the landlord i.e. cross-referencing the check-in and check-out reports and reminding Scott Fraser of your responsibilities to repay the deposit and meet contractual obligations.
12. A formal complaint was submitted to customer care and a Director and Regional Manager were made aware of our situation. An investigation was set up but no action has been taken.
To summarise, if you are a landlord and Scott Fraser is your paid representative, you can expect this type of negligence to be committed on your behalf.

You can report issues on their website but they don´t acknowledge and you will have to email directly two or three times for them to pick up on the issue. Then someone will come around, do a very poor job and you will have to start the whole process again so count with main doors not closing for a week. Toilets leaking for weeks, holes in the rooms and common areas floors for weeks, etc...

After staying in a property managed by them for 4 years (also due the pandemy) It is a experience I would not reccomend even to my worse enemy. Does not matter how convenient the place looks it is just not worth it if they are in the deal.

We've just moved into a lovely house in Witney, for which ScottFraser were the selling agents. We dealt with Ellie Fieldwick, from the first call to request a viewing all the way through to moving in. The process took far longer than expected, due to several unforeseen events further up the chain, which threatened to derail things. Ellie did an amazing job of holding everything together and keeping us posted, even at times when it seemed nothing was happening. She was personable and engaging whilst remaining thoroughly professional throughout, and her cheery voice on the phone brightened many a day when we were tempted to despair at the lack of progress. We used Scott Fraser as estate agents for our property sale and onward purchase in Headington, Oxford. The whole team was outstanding, but special recognition goes to Catherine Dernie, who managed the smooth running of the whole process. I thought it is super professional letting company aimed to high standards of customers' satisfaction... BUT IT IS NOTHING LIKE THAT!
I contacted them about property in which I had an interest, on their request filled in form and been absolutely ghosted and ignored from there. I asked to inform me should I search further or what's going on. And believe it or not one week later not a single reply. Sorry guys this is Chancellor's agency things to do so. Really disappointed - haven't expected such a disgraceful behaviour from this agency as I had image that you are on the best agencies there are. Thumbs down mates.

Whenever things got tricky Tom swooped in and saved the day each time. I’ve sold three houses now and he has been the best agent I have ever dealt with and if we ever sell again we will unreservedly be returning to Scott Fraser.
Thanks so much guys, it’s been a ride but you’ve all made it so much smoother.

My review is for all students and people who are renting from Scott Fraser. At the end of tenancy when you are required to leave the property as you found it. Try to have evidence of the standard and level cleaning you have done, if you are doing it yourself. It is very difficult to prove how well a property has been cleaned by photographs and it may well be your word against theirs. If you have cleaned thoroughly including cleaning carpets, you don't want to be charged for a deep clean by the estate agents.
