Indifferent service for 10% management fee. I found that I did all the management. Additional services were exorbitant, they inspected every 3 months but charged me £60 each time. Indifferent service for 10% management fee. I found that I did all the management. Additional services were exorbitant, they inspected every 3 months but charged me £60 each time. I found a much better agent and moved over, when I did they were all over me like a rash, having told me they were increasing their fees to 15% they made a complete about turn and said they would leave the fees as they were. Even mr McLeod rang me! However I'd made my mind up and jumped ship. I then asked for the return of the outstanding management fees approximately £400 which are paid at the front end of the contract, I'm informed that I cant have this money back because buried in the terms and conditions is a clause that says you cant have your own money back unless you renew contract with them. If you want my advice there are better, more decent agents to.manage your property, I wish I'd moved a long time ago. Give these people a wide berth.

Horrendous experience with Atkinson McLeod resulting in over £1,000 loss of money.
I was taking over the tenancy mid contract from an existing tenant. As you would expect - I requested a copy of the tenancy agreement. Apparently this was too much to ask and I wouldn't be eligible to a copy until I'd transferred over deposit and agency fees. Being homeless in London I was in a rush to finding a home so transferred money without the contract.
We had no heating or hot water for 3 weeks throughout the Christmas period when temperatures were below freezing. Upon notifying the agency their response was 'oh I don't think there's any maintenance working today' which displayed a complete lack of urgency. It took weeks of pestering and several poorly tenants before it was eventually sorted.
On top of all this Sophie then notified us of an early termination of the property to end in March rather than the original September that had been agreed. This meant I had wasted extortionate agency fees for the sake of two months tenancy.
It was only after securing new tenancy to start ASAP to avoid being homeless again did we realise Atkinson McLeod were in fact in breach of the tenancy agreement by notifying us of an early termination. Sophie Hershman then blamed the error on a technical fault on their system however offered no compensation for the damage they had caused. As we were wrongly served notice so urgently I was forced into a 2 month renting cross over period to avoid being homeless again which meant paying double rent for 2 months.
I returned to the property a week before keys were due to be handed in only to find Atkinson McLeods new tenant for the property was already in place in the room I was still paying for. They claimed they had no knowledge of this girl but somehow miraculously had her phone number to discuss the matter with her.
When the time came to eventually hand keys back to the office I was resorted to recording the handover on my phone as I wouldn't put it past them claiming i'd not handed keys back. I also asked for a receipt which they have to me. As expected when I made an office complaint against the agency amongst their lies they also claimed my keys were never handed in.
I could go on and on but this company has wasted enough of my time, effort and money However if given the opportunity I would do anything in my power to stop any other people falling into the horrendous trap of Atkinson McLeod.
