I understand that they ask your position in terms of having an agreement in principle etc. but I was asked exactly wat my deposit would be. When challenged on this, the agent waffled some crap about it being on her list of questions. My deposit is something I discuss with MY mortgage lender and adviser, not an estate agent so they can then potentially use the information to encourage the seller to push the price up. Absolutely disgustingly transparent .

Don't use estate agents to sell your properties, avoid fees by selling privately on social media.

Very unprofessional
We were contacted and the agents made a same day appointment for us to view a property.
Upon arrival I asked how we go about viewing etc (and was told to put face coverings on) responded by saying we had not brought any as previous estate agents had supplied them. I had pointed out when organsing the appointment we had 2 kids. He then was fsirly disrespectful and when I said it was fine we'd leave it - he then said we could all enter the property without. I declined - Was a very strange experience. Shame as it was a very nice house!

I got rude answers to my queries, was told they don't offer viewings to anyone without agreement in principle and when I told them I'd call back later once I had this I felt like I was in a pressure sales pitch to go with their financial adviser. She also became really irate on the phone having to repeat a question because there was a bad line and I could not hear. They also asked me which areas I was looking to buy in, when I told them, I was very condescendingly told 'you do know this house is nowhere near there, don't you?'.

Managed to arrange viewing , or what I thought was one. Turned up with our own PPE at house, but the homeowner had no idea we were coming and no one showed up. Instead what had apparently been booked was a mortgage advice phone call. Unfortantely would not recommnend.

First question where about my personal details which I am happy to provide - professional couple etc, full time employment. However, firstly the agent couple time said that what other areas I would be looking to rent, secondly when ask when the property is available - I just couldn't get straight answer. Something under the line that viewing can be in 10 days time and they are waiting for current tenant to move out - hmmm so no idea when is that. After refusing to provide my partner's full details (what's the point since I don't know when the property actually available) I was abruptly advised to call when I am willing to provide full details. Well, to sum it up - agent not providing full details on property I am interested, instead gathering information to offer other properties - prospective tenant expected to do so before even given basic info about the property. Not customer service skills what so ever!!!

Being a VIP basically means they make you sit through a sales pitch with their financial advisors (which we repeatedly explained we didn’t want as we were happy with our company) and have them verify documents. Finally let us view properties without having to become a ‘VIP’. Saw a house we loved and we put in an offer. Communication was dreadful and mostly via text with one estate agent, Aimee. We were told they wanted best and final offers in for a friday evening, which we put forward. Heard nothing and repeatedly tried to contact them via messages and calls. When we finally did get in touch, the estate agent made out that we were in the running to get the property so I asked outright if our offer had been accepted and she said yes but we need you to have your documents verified before we can take it off the market. In other words, become a VIP member. My mortgage broker got in contact with them and asked if she could send our documents over and they were extremely rude to her and said no because “it’s not our procedure!!” Fine. We arranged to go in on the Tuesday. Wasted our time and their finance advisors time to be told they’d ring us the next day - which they didn’t. Rang numerous times to no answer, left text message and voicemail message. My partner finally got through and they told him that they had had more offers and the vendors were considering them, and they would get in contact the next day. This is despite them telling us they were taking best and final offers the previous friday and telling us we had had our offer accepted pending documents. They have now contacted us and said that another offer had been accepted!! I’m extremely annoyed that this company has ENCOURAGED gazumping. They have awful communication skills and obviously terrible ethical and moral practices. They have made our first experience more stressful than it needed to be.

Despite the obvious disappointment, the positive for us is that we do not have to deal with this obstructive company anymore. I will never consider selling or buying off them ever again and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Lady comes out of her car no Hi no hello just “what’s your name?” “Do you work?” I answered no as already discussed with the agency. She goes “sorry we do not accept”. She didn’t even show me the property at all. It was the worst treatment I ve ever gotten from a professional! I had tears in my eyes. was incredibly disappointed! INCREDIBLY! She does not deserve to be an agent ! As she is not kind or welcoming at all!!!!!! Disgusting!Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. Spoke to them on the phone told them my circumstances and everything they needed to know and they happily gave me an appointment to view the property. Unprofessional, do not answer emails, evade phone calls with perpetual claims that they will be “out of the office all day” due to a variety of reasons; but then never return your calls or emails when they say. This company takes their percentage but as soon as they actually need to solve any issues they vanish. I would strongly recommend using anyone else or letting privately instead of using Mr. Homes as you are paying a fee for no service. I ended up requesting the named “director “ as had become so frustrated by the service from other employees, but found that she was no better; possibly even worse. It is terribly frustrating and stressful, and even when I pointed out on numerous occasions that the situation would be instantly solved by simply keeping communication open with a brief email to update me of the situation, nothing improved. Avoid!!

I would strongly recommend Mr Homes Estate Agents to anyone thinking of selling their home. I found Nick to be extremely professional and very knowledgeable about the local market and he spend time marketing our house as per our instructions.
Leanne was a great help to me at a very stressful time, keeping me updated at every opportunity, and answering the many questions that I had. I have nothing negative to say about Mr Homes and would definitely recommend them.

From our first contact with Nick Masters until completion, everything ran remarkably smoothly. Gina and Aimee constantly kept us in the picture, and were particularly helpful in organising a couple of contractors we needed. We received a text prior to every viewing - and I was surprised (and pleased) how many viewings there were, and how quickly they came. No hesitation in recommending their services.
