Understandably my mother in law was very anxious and worried about the move. But right from the very first meeting, Cheryl put my mother in law at ease and was so kind and loving to her.
Sadly move forward a year and my mother in law passed away and it was up to Cheryl and her team to sell the apartment. Again understandably my wife was so upset but Cheryl showed the same compassion to her as she did my mother in law. In fact the whole team have been so lovely and of course so professional. They kept us up to date at every turn and made the whole process so smooth.
You get a lovely feeling when you go into the office and it’s matched by their professionalism. Thank you to the whole team at Northwoods.

Arranged to view a rental property on Lower Kenyon street with agents in the Thorne branch. I attended with my two young children (1 and 3yrs). We waited outside the property for 30+ minutes in the cold and wind. I rang several times and was transferred to agents in the Goole and Hatfield office - all explained that they'd chase the agent. Cheryl arrived about 40 minutes after finally receiving this message. First, she gave the usual, 'I was there the whole time… I waited', (although I was 5 minutes early and was stood outside the property grappling with two toddlers the entire time), then eventually admitted that she was photographing another property further up the street and that, 'it wasn't my fault… I've had a busy day with viewings'… Unfortunately, this wasn't a one off experience. I recognised Cheryl from when she left me and my son waiting (15 minutes) outside a property for sale a few months previously - there was no explanation or apology - she just looked at me blankly. After this second experience, I was gaslit by Cheryl and her colleagues and made to feel that I was being unreasonable to expect basic service and communication. I was phoned this morning to get my feedback on the properties I viewed yesterday - I calmly explained that I loved the one on Kenyon Street but couldn't trust the company to handle my application given these experiences experience. Again… I was told that Cheryl was at the property… blah blah. I informed the female agent that I'd leave a poor review and Cheryl rang back 2 minutes later to try and persuade me not to. I feel for the local landlords and sellers. Choose to spend your money elsewhere!

I’ve been looking for properties now for quite some time, Cheryl and her team could not have been more helpful. In my experience some estate agents just answer the phone and arrange viewings. Northwood are so much more that that. They partner with you and provide expertise and an excellent service and are with you throughout the whole process.

Excellent customer service and expertise
We have looked at many properties with lots of different agents over the previous few months. This last weekend we viewed one that was on the market with Northwood. The attitude of the staff which has been a combination of friendly helpfulness, mixed with professionalism and efficiency has stood out head and shoulders above other agencies. They were even able to bring to our attention a property that they thought we would like even though on paper it didn't tick all the boxes and hey ho we are now in the process of buying it - they really do know what they are doing. I can't recommend them highly enough. It is still early days in the process but so far they have made it very straight forward and easy and have acted very quickly.

All the administration and documentation side of the business was explained clearly and simply which made it a smooth and easy move.
We would highly recommend anyone looking to move go through northwoods and last but definitely not least your girls in the Thorne branch have excellent people skills so cheerful, pleasent and easy to converse with make you feel like you are all friends very easy to work with.
