I have had very little experience with estate agents. On this occasion, having come into some money I wanted to invest in a flat and I came across this one in Worplesdon. I called the Estate Agent (Seymours) and asked them for more detail about extending the lease as it was down to 55 years and I was told this enquiry was already ongoing and to watch their web-site for updates. I asked them to call me once there was an update as I would like to make an offer. I watched for just over a week before noticing SOLD STC appeared on the property - but still no update on their web site in respect of the lease. I called and was told that the price has been dropped by £30K to allow for the short lease yet I was not told???????? They insisted they had called me - REALLY - I think not as I wanted to buy it. Why lie? Really poor service and even worse, tried to blame me!
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.

Seymours have a open policy that they give first refusal on all their houses for sale to people who are also selling a house through Seymours.
