My brother Mervyn and his wife Margaret were separated when they put their property on the market with Cowell and Norford in October 2014, they have since been divorced after 43 years. Mervyn my brother suffers with long term mental health problems and struggles to get by on a day to day basis. I am his carer and try to manage most of his day to day affairs including being power of attorney for his finances via DWP Margaret applied for an occupation order so she could continue to live in the house while being sold but because of Mervyns history of mental health he was granted the occupation order by the courts this in itself caused animosity between them. Hayley Wilkinson works in the Milnrow office and has flamed the fire between Mervyn and Margaret through gossip and reporting anything said back to Margaret with whom she has developed a relationship with. For this reason I sent her an email on the 9th November regarding her lack of integrity because Hayley was reporting things said back to Margaret which was causing all kinds of slanderous comments on social media for the world to see!! After sending the email to Hayley Wilkinson I had a telephone conversation with her on the 11th Nov, at 3.30pm she wanted to know how I had concluded that it was she who had repeated things to Margaret. So I confided with her that my niece Gillian had seen a very colourful detrimental remarks on face book she was so disgusted she cut and pasted them to my brother Merv asking what on earth is going on". I reminded Hayley at that point that we were a big family and news travels fast, 26 minutes later (15.56pm) I received a call from my niece Gillian saying she had received a personal message on Face book with a heap of abuse from Margaret regarding things I had spoken with Hayley literally 30 minutes earlier. Hayley must have called Margaret immediately after putting the phone down from me. As you can imagine I was not very pleased and rang Hayley back and I think she was shocked by the speed of the family communication. She didn't give me a chance to tell her what had happened she just screamed I am sick of this I am taking the property of the market which she confirmed by email within 10 minutes. Because of future possible litigation problems caused by Hayley's action, I wrote to the director Mike Cowell explaining the trail of events outlined above that the sale of property was removed by Hayley Wilkinson and was nothing to do with either myself or Mervyn needless to say I heard nothing so I rang and asked to speak to Mike Cowell - I received a call back today 03rd Dec (today) from senior manager Caroline Lancaster who would not let me get a word in edgewise and said there had been no such letter received. She accused me of being aggressive but I was just trying to get a word in! There was also another situation which was much more serious in my opinion Mervyn received a phone call in July from Francesca who sent my brothers stress levels through roof after insisting that he dropped the price of the house another 10,000 – the end result was I took the phone of my brother he was on loud speech so I heard everything admittedly I did shout at her because of her attitude towards my brother, refusing to come and see him (reason for the call) unless he agreed to drop the price of the house there and then. They are a disgrace to treat someone knowing they have Mental health problems is unforgivable..
They need to learn to listen to the client without reacting so defensivly - they also confuse "straight talk" with being aggresive. I have been in commercial business for over 30 years and have deat with govement contracts and large companies and I am sorry to say I have never come accross such unproffesionalism
