I just wanted to reiterate the other review of this branch as we have had the exact same problems and are having a dreadful time presently arguing about our requirement to have the chimney swept. The maintenance coordinator is incredibly condescending and rude and frankly, unhelpful and unorganised in her role. The director of the lettings arm doesn't even appear to have a grasp on current housing legislation when I've pointed it out to her. They rarely respond to you by email within seven days and have been quite underhand in trying to charge renewal fees on a contract that would automatically roll into a contractual tenancy anyway - luckily a bit of research on this saved us the £50 they were trying charge!

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.

Without your tennants you have no business regardless of how many wonderful properties you have on your books. You need to give some serious customer service training to your lettings arm in Haslemere. Your tennants are not second class citizens and neither are your contractors. Treat them with respect and honesty and your company will flourish. You have a reputation that is not positive in the local area and take this as the trigger for improvement that reading the reviews is long over due in Haslemere.

No I do not wish to discuss this with the agent via this method. I have written to the MD of the Haslemere office and would prefer to deal with him directly. There are too many things they could have done better throughout our tenancy to change my mind that it really isn't worth writing them down here.
