Preston Baker were true to their word. Using their VIP Launch service not only did we sell our house on launch day but they achieved �5000 over the asking price. All the staff are extremely friendly,caring & professional in what they do. They made us feel like valued customers & that they put as much effort &care into our move as they would their own. I would recommend them 100% to anybody who values customer care and service

Absolutely terrible service…. We have recently purchased a property that is in need of a full renovation that will take over 12 months we found the perfect property online through Preston Barker at York as it was only around the corner from the property we have just bought, upon contacting Preston Baker York the agent pressurised and forced a holding fee out of my wife with multiple phone calls emails and voicemails left. After the fee was paid we could not get any of the agents back on the phone for over a week to help arrange paperwork . when we did we were spoke to like total garbage. Purpose of the phone call was to help with sending over documentation. We was told that our paperwork was late and asked is we would pay 12 months / £12000 rent in advance. If they answer the phone on at some point the documentation would of been sent over. The staff was rude with extremely bad attitude speaking to me and my wife multiple times like total garbage.

My tenant has not paid for 3 months and went to serve a section 8 from the solicitors and Preston Baker had not complied to legal requirements with in their process, so the solicitor's were not comfortable serving this. This has exposed me as a landlord.
Rebekkah Wanden has dealt with this is the York branch. Terrible at communicating and unpersonable. I have to chase her on a weekly basis and when I speak to her, she sounds like she's reading from a script.

Without Karen we would still be waiting to complete 5 months after putting in an offer. She is excellent. She is honest, direct, straight-talking, impartial, dilligent, reliable and assertive which helped with our lawyers (who weren't any of those things) whilst conversely was kind, informative, reassuring, knowledgeable, accessible and devoted which helped us as first time buyers. Everyone at Preston Baker's office were great but Karen is a cut above. If we were to ever sell she'd be the reason we would approach Preston Baker before anyone else. If only she project managed the buying and fitting of kitchens and bathrooms - we'd have had no problems buying a house!

Terrible experience. Never ever get trapped with these people. Gives no consideration what so ever to the tenants. During my 1 1/2 year stay ,never a maintenace call was attended promptly. During my 1 1/2 year stay ,never a maintenace call was attended promptly. When i decided to move out of the contract , whilst within the contract period, i paid them remarketting fees of �240 . Literally what they have done for that money was to put an advertisement in the internet , that to they copy pasted the add which was given in April 2015, dint even bother to place a billboard. Now let us talk about the deduction, they are going to takejuice out of you on this. They completed my checkout literally just before the new tenant moved in, and i am pretty sure they havnt spend a penny on cleaning the property as i have left it in pretty descent shape. When my final settlement came , here is the bill, �80 pound for cleaning hall way carpet, �60 for internal glass cleaning. These are exorbitant rate when compared to market. I have logged a dispute against Preston Bakers , lets see will i get justice ir not???

There are other good agents in the market with better property and who values tenants as much as landlords.

Karen Preece is the estate agent you want on your side. Her determination and tenacity make her sales succeed.
