I had to sell my deceased sisters one bedroomed ground floor flat I had dealt with Will Bags before and asked him for a price we should try for and as we had used his services and those of some of his colleagues Len West Drayton my expectations were extremely high and were not disapointed to cut a long story short he has shown us prices of similar properties sold in the area recently and based on the quality or not if some of the properties he suggested a mid range price which was spot on and achieved. He also gave some simple advice which saved us spending a fortune which would not have changed the price we got so full marks to him and his staff finding a buyer and concluding the sale very quickly. I must give an extra special commendation to their coordinator Loraine she was outstanding keeping informed at every stage and chasing solicitors on all sides before updating us absolutely brilliant, as was our solicitor and her pa whom I cannot fault I did not use the Romans solicitors although I am sure they would be good but the one we used and would go to again was Caroline Mangam, her PA Samantha Palmer of charsley Harrison in Windsor. All in all all parties were excellant at a tome when my personal mindset was perhaps slightly more emotional than at other times and this was taken into account by all of the above and much appreciated.
Comments on Agent Fees
As with any agent the fees on face value seem difficult to accept but in this situation worth every penny.

We had a very bad experience with another estate agent when trying to move to a new rental. This had fallen through and put us in a difficult time crunch. When we contacted both Romans in WIndsor and then Romans in Burnham, they were very understanding of our situation and efficent at quickly helping us to immediately find a new property. They wasted no time and were very quick and responsive to our needs, finding us a new rental property within a day of contacting them.

I purchased a property through Romans in Burnham. The service was open, honest, transparent and efficient. Will has a superb team that are hands on and dedicated in supporting customers. They charge fees that are entirely unnecessary, such as renewal fees. They charge despite the fact that you can print out any documents off the web or even just update the date on existing contracts. For this service they charge £140

Romans are a dreadful property manager and always take significantly longer than expected to deal with any issue. It took a year to get new windows for our house, a month for them to refund me for a washing machine that I bought when the one at the property broke (for the 3rd time in 8 months, the previous times each took a week and a half or more for them to get someone in to fix).
Whenever there is an issue they need to be chased or they will not move forward with the issue for several days after it has been reported.
It takes so much more effort to get any issue resolved by dealing with this "managed" property than if you were to deal with the issue yourself. The only problem with that is that they would then take a month to repay you if at all.
We have had constant issues with them with not a single issue being handled in a reasonable amount of time despite the fact that we have a baby and a toddler in the house.

Would definitely NOT recommend under any circumstances Romans. On top of total lack of genuine care for tenants, they are incompetent, unresponsive and show no will at all to actually try and do what you would expect from a proper letting agency. They have simply never gave any support when needed (no proper heating for around 4 months, no proper external lighting just to name a few) and did not care to sort out problems they have been creating as well as not respecting basic law when related to pay back our deposit.

We have been dealt by 3 different people.
Was promised house that we are renting will be professionally cleaned.when we arrived it was filthy...hasn't been cleaned at all and we haven't been even advised that due for whatever reason it wasn't able to be cleaned.
Long story short never use this a agency again and will make sure everyone around me is aware.
Compare to the ridiculous money they charge the service is awful. Do something good to yourself and don't go with romans ever

I recently rented a property out through Romans. I consider myself a good Landlord and do everything within my power to be legal and fair. Romans hide behind small print to rip off both tenants and Landlords. Their terms and conditions do not comply with Guidance for lettings professionals on consumer protection law. They are planning to rip me off to the tune of about £ 55 a month for as long as my new tenant remains in the property. They do no work for this money and a Judge will probably rule it as unfair conditions but still they are going to hassle me for this money. As a pensioner this is my income - it is outrageous that I am 70 years old and have fallen foul of this outfit and may have to either fight in court or evict my poor tenant in order not to pay this money. No other agent I have dealt with is so money grabbing - this was a first and last time of using them. They also paid my tenants money into their account when it was instructed that it should come straight to me. They lied to my tenant and told them they had agreed the process with me. They then continued to keep emailing me and my tenant asking for information and documents that they had no right to ask for or see.
