Streets Ahead Purley were super keen to get us on their books, and once we’d signed up they quickly started getting people through the door. Having secured a buyer there were unfortunately legal issues with the chain below us, which delayed our sale. After nearly a year our buyer pulled out of the purchase; but the Streets Ahead team had been trying to progress the sale and then got straight back on it and were able to arrange a high number of viewings in a short time. This ‘open day’ resulted in a strong offer and second time round we exchanged / completed within eight weeks.

After nearly a year our buyer pulled out of the purchase; but the Streets Ahead team had been trying to progress the sale and then got straight back on it and were able to arrange a high number of viewings in a short time. This ‘open day’ resulted in a strong offer and second time round we exchanged / completed within eight weeks.
Their fees were higher than the competition, but the extra cost was genuinely well worth it. Our previous agent told us that their ‘network of branches’ would all be working for us and trying to sell our property; but we saw no evidence of this. With Streets Ahead this really was the case, and it really did feel that the whole team was trying to sell our house. They seemed to work harder, certainly worked longer hours, and were great and drumming up support for our property and getting people through the door.
Many thanks to the whole team (a few of whom have now left). Jason and Jo from the Purley branch were the team that finally got us over the line, and big, big thanks to Andrew our Sales Progressor who kept everything moving smoothly once the sale had been agreed. In addition to these guys, thanks to many of the other team members who we worked with, including Gemma, Lara, Jamie, Catherine, and Diana; who all played a key role in selling our house.
Highly recommended. Give them a try – you won’t be disappointed!

Typical estate agent approach to winning new customers ie wack up the prospective rent to win the business then slowly chip the landlord down. Wanted to sign up with them and they change their fees charged depending on whom I am talking to. Also I suspect a significant number of these positive reviews on here are not genuine. They seem more concerned about signing according to their terms, rather than anything else. Also their ability to get back to you in a timely manner was poor.

Gail and Lisa at purley were absolutely magnificent. I made enquires about purchasing a property to rent out and manage hence was looking for a company that could offer me all these services. As a potential first time landlord I approached Streets Ahead in Purely. They were recommended to me from a friend whom had used them before. Gail was very responsive and helpful and went out of her way to ensure i had all the information i required. I later found out she was employed at weekends only but her knowledge was exceptional and her service excellent. Thank you very much Streets Ahead.

This estate agents is the poorest I have ever dealt with they have poor customer service. They are very nice before you sign the documents and pay the money, they then ignore you if anything goes wrong and lie to you about what is being done or has been done to the property. I have contacted them numerous times and sent loads of emails and get the response from them. The people are very unhelpful and always say they will contact you back after waiting weeks for a phone call you have to contact them and get no where. I would never like to deal with them again. 0/10 for customer service.

For me, this has been one of the highlights of our working relationship: As in all big sales, you should do your homework and arrive with a very clear idea of what you\'re prepared to pay and negotiate accordingly. My experience has been that Streets Ahead can deservedly justify charging a slight premium to standard market rates, and it\'s one that I\'d pay again on future sales to work with this team.

I've been both a landlord and a vendor with Streets Ahead over the past two years:
Lisa Adams was superb in letting out the property within a week of putting it on the market for a very fair rent. The vetting she conducted was top drawer, and I couldn't have asked for better tenants. Stephanie Simpson in their property management department is also particularly strong: Proactive, bright, diligent, and someone who just 'gets' any issue the minute you say it, and takes appropriate action immediately. Personally, I wouldn't do 'fully managed' again, because I've now made enough contacts to resolve most issues quickly, but if you do value this service, Streets Ahead are well worth what they charge.
The Purley sales team have been similarly impressive, with the drive of Nick McDonald appearing as key to the results achieved. They secured several very fair offers (which were all in excess of what other local agents felt they could achieve) within 6 days of taking the property to market. The customer care has been excellent so far and I'm really looking forward to exchange and completion - please don't drop the ball on this one, guys! :-) Stefano has also been great at keeping me informed of progress to date and I believe I'm in good hands.

Brilliant from the start till the end. They sold our property for more than any of the other agencies would even consider marketing it at. They chased up our lawyers, the buyers, the buyers lawyers and any others necessary. We had no problems contacting them or getting replies etc despie us living in New Zealand. They went above and beyond helping my mother in law get the correct paperwork sent off to our lawyers. Supper easy to communicate with! Fantastic explaining how the process works! Can't praise them enough!!

Finally, I would suggest a more detailed introduction of properties on website and/or in the introduction documents distributed during the viewing, including the lease years and service charges. These numbers can be known from the agent during viewing, but sometimes might be forgotten after.

At the start of the tenancy they handed all the sets of keys to tenant so they didn't have a set themselves, slow passing on rent (sits in their account earning them interest not you and on one occasion rent sat in their system for about 6 days and was only forwarded to me when I called to ask where it was...), charges twice for some things (and can't them tell you when a refund will be made), person you speak to never calls back, person you need to speak to never seems to be in the office, accounts branch 'aren't answering their phones'...
