The communications between the Bath branch and the HO is ridiculously poor, I would suggest copying in their branch generic email in every correspondence just to ease things up for yourselves. The attitude and service is bad even from the branch manager. This place is hopeless, take ages to get back to you without resolving the problem. Because of their delay and zero communication with HO it is the landlord that suffers. Oh btw, they can't even properly collect rent and chase tenants for their late rent.

We were renting from Romans agency. We left as soon as our contract ended. We got a flat in a building with a night club and homeless shelter across the street. And nobody tell us this. Everybody is free to do whatever he wants but I had to be witness of this for 6 months? This is deception, as a solicitor told me.

Romans Letting agents in Bath have let down my daughter by their ineptitude. Along with the landlord, they have ignored basic health and safety laws in relation to a property being rented to students. They have ignored requests to rectify problems. We are in the process of taking them to the small claims court if our concerns are not dealt with within the next 14 days. Romans have allowed 5 young women move into a dangerous house.

Fantastic job, Keep up the good work.
I have been using estate agents for years to let my properties and I recently found Roman and they give the best rate with the best service. Hettie and Ema have always been prompt in responding to my emails and queries with satisfactory answers. We had not been able to let the property recently and they went through a list of what needed doing in order to promote the house and it worked! It was let within the first viewing. They both have always been on hand and ready for anything including picking up the keys from my house and giving me a lift to the house for our appointment when my car was in the garage, Absolutely helpful with fantastic results. I certainly cant find any letting agent to top that. Keep up the fantastic work.

The customer service is atrocious, you have to repeatedly chase, leave messages, call, email, carrier pigeon – eventually several weeks later somebody will pick up the phone and by then you have had to sort the problem with your own finances yourself.

Own a property below a tenant of Romans who has been making considerable noise for an extended period of time, this noise has been not the 'nicest' thing to here at circa 01:00AM in the morning especially with a young family living below. When lodging a complaint for noise it took 7 months for a response that was there was nothing they could do.
Tenant had a gas leak and all mains gas was shut-off for several weeks peak winter. Eventually after numerous complaints was given a small fan heater to 'make-do' for the next 3 weeks.
Avoid like the plague, or any other particularly nasty tropical disease.

Extremenly poor service. Very coporate and rigid and no communication between staff.
No communication between head office and branch and the worst weekend service with no one answering phones at the branch which means if you are moving house on a weekend then GOOD LUCK to you as these guys who work there are completely incompetent.
They are extremely rude and do not know how to treat human beings let alone their customers.
Once you agree on renting a place and pay the deposit they should be chasing all the paper work but it was the other wayround for us. We had to chase every aspect inclusing when accepting the offer had to phone 3 times before someone got back to us to accept our offer
Sumudu in the head office is slighty better and flexible at providing customer service
Beware of a lady called Hatty in the branch. Really inflexibile. and tells you to do things with no flexibilty and no options on the day before the move. Worst customer service I have ever received from someone in a estate agent.
Never ever ever use ROMANS.

I wish I could give minus points. I pay for fully managed service yet all Romans do for this money is pass on every minor issue or email to me. They have contractors that charge high prices for little to no work, and overcharge whilst claiming to be helping you with a good deal Staff are useless at ... Read Full Review

Staff are useless at best
The criteria for tenants is so low I'm potentially having to evict the first tenants I've ever had
