Tried to view a property with these agents on several occasions, with them saying every time we could not view it but could put in an offer???? Then they said the property was sold but infact contracts had not been exchanged and it was still under offer. The property is being sold for at least £50k below its market rate and I am suspicious as to their motives for not allowing people to view it. Feel sorry for the owner who probably hasn't got a clue that this has been going on with his property.

Sep 14, 2012While we would never encourage an offer without a viewing some clients do not want any other viewings after an offer has been accepted. Each property and each vendor have different circumstances that we cannot disclose to prospective purchasers. It is hard to respond to your complaint when the circumstances you describe are vague as to what property and situation you are referring to. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
