So -- I don't like estate agents generally. This is based on historic bad experiences over the years. I have little trust and zero confidence. To this end, I sold my property using Purple Bricks, as I wanted to be more in control and I wanted greater oversight of what was happening myself. I had no choice however, in using estate agents to find a property to purchase. This kind of filled me with a little dread and I totally was not looking forward to all the blah and bs. I however met Ricky Archer at a property that I had arranged to view and he just seemed different. He had a really nice way and came across as decent and honest. This was my first impression of him. I didn't like the house he was showing me and it was over priced (in fact it is still on the market now). I had no interest in buying it, but I really appreciated meeting an agent like Ricky. About a month later, a property came on the market that I was very interested in. I called Balgores to arrange a viewing. About half way through the call, I realised that I was speaking to Ricky, who I had met previously. He remembered me and the house that he had previously shown me around. I was really pleased when Ricky said that he would be showing me the new property himself. He showed me around the new property and again was professional, charming, funny and honest. He said that as soon as it came on the market, he knew it would be what I was looking for and he was right. Ricky was able to negotiate well between the seller and I, to get an price that we could both agree on. This was efficient and he kept me up to date and managed my expectations extremely well. Even though Ricky was working for the seller and not for me, he kept me up to date throughout the whole process. He gave me his mobile number and was always available for calls and texts. He proactively managed the sales process until contracts were exchanged; speaking to solicitors and other parties in the chain. We were able to achieve a really fast exchange and agree a completion date. Ricky was fantastic throughout! He has changed my view of estate agents somewhat and I would recommend him to anyone. Balgores Hornchurch seems to be a great company too, based on all my interactions with them! I will send anyone looking to buy or sell a house in the Hornchurch area, directly to Ricky Archer. Thank you for all your help Ricky. I hope to see you on completion day next month!
I am a purchaser and so do not know what fees the seller is paying to Balgores.
