May I thank Khalid, Hiran and the team, for their exemplary efforts for the successful sale our house close to our asking price. During the sale process there where many adverse problems which Khalid and the team helped resolved, which included pre qualifying buyers before arranging viewings, which resulted in more serious viewings in comparison to other agents and this is in our opinion the main reason why Ellis successful sold our property. As well as the selling side we then needed to find rental accommodation and again Nicki the Lettings Manager was very helpful and showed us a good selection of properties. I would highly recommended Khalid and the Ellis and Co team, if are looking to Sell, Purchase or Rent in the area.

The team were dedicated to making the sale conducting viewings late in the evening if required. When negotiating the sale price Khalid was committed to holding out for the highest price and ensured we got the best possible deal. During the contract settlement he was always on hand to provide good advice how to negotiate the issues that arose.

What made them different to other agents is that they didn't show us all houses - they ensured that the houses we were shown ticked all our boxes, to the extent that we ended up making offers on most of the houses they showed us. They very much operated the 'soft-sell' apprach and it worked.

Ellis and Co were fantastic when I was buying my house. It was not a particularly straightforward situation due to some problems I was having with the buyers for my flat. Ellis and Co were the only estate agents I have dealt with that I would recommend. The other two I have used in recent years locally I would not recommend at all. What set Ellis and Co apart was that they are completely honest and straightforward and value the people in the transactions and seem to really care about giving a good service more than their own profit on a particular deal. I felt their way of doing business is to behave with absolute integrity presumably on the basis that they will then maintain an excellent reputation and have repeat business and many word of mouth recommendations. In addition to being fair they were also extremely efficient, I can't think of any occasion they didn't do exactly what they said they would. Also, I would say that Ellis and Co's details of my flat were better than the other two agents and produced more quickly. By far the best estate agent I've ever dealt with and I wouldn't use anyone else in the future if at all possible. They really went the extra mile too, even helping me with a problem with the alarm in my new house after I'd moved in.

We had been looking for a property to rent for the greater part of a year whilst our house was being extensively renovated. We felt we needed another house and were disappointed with other agents, but Nikki used her knowledge of the market and directed our attention to an attractive apartment that provided sufficient living space and storage that would suit our purpose.
She was resourceful and quickly arranged a viewing with a chance to speak to the current occupant who provided essential information that made our move much less onerous. Nikki was extremely reliable, punctual and professional, replying to all our queries. She was supported at all times by Khalid who authorised some much needed repairs and provided direction. Would use again without hesitation.

I bought my current property through Ellis & Co in Finchley. Dealing initially with Khalid, and subsequently Hiren, I enjoyed good communication and they were supportive throughout what became quite a difficult exchange and completion period.
Khalid was not willing to take the property off the market until he was certain that my buyer was reliable and serious. While this was initially frustrating for me, I would have welcomed it as a seller.
In my opinion, I think they did their utmost to ensure that the sale went through, including (multiple times) contacting my buyer further down the chain, my buyers solicitor, and my own agent (plus of course my solicitor). Hiren was firm but diplomatic and extremely helpful. I believe they acted in an honest and forthright manner.

No comment really except to say that it was competitive and probably not unreasoable. In strong market conditions (such as we were selling in), I still find it unbelievable that some agents will not negotiate on fees. This may be their model, but surely sometimes it quite obviously doesn\'t make sense.

We picked Ellis & Co because of Khalid Ghani's honest approach and promises. I realised there was probably a small difference between his pitch and that of other agents, so the choice was a gut one.
Obviously most sellers will judge their agent by the final number they get, and we all know market conditions play a big part in that, so what did Ellis and Co. add? The simple answer is that Khalid was very candid with us. He told us what to do (declutter advice, presenting each room in a certain way), he gave us marketting advice (strong push towards an "open day"), and throughout the process he advised us what to do next. He was kind enough to praise us for following his advice, which he said put us in the minority as a client!
I felt in very safe hands.
So no magic formula here, just be wise enough to follow the advice of an agent. They do add value, or at least Ellis & Co. did.

They are professionals to the highest standard and have a respectful balance between my requirements as a Landlord and those of the tenant in their rental home.

I will start this review by claiming these are the most amazing agents I use! I purchased my first property in 1999 through Ellis and Co and the support provided by Khalid and the team ensured a smooth, quick settlement. When I came to lease the property they were my first choice and I have not regretted it for one minute. They are professionals to the highest standard and have a respectful balance between my requirements as a Landlord and those of the tenant in their rental home.
I live abroad and on my behalf they have dealt with bond retrieval, all general maintenance, redecoration when required and some larger projects. They have access to quality tradesmen from whom quotes always surprise me - being lower than expected. All work done is followed by an emailed report with photographs.
Most recently I had tenants lodge a noise complaint with the adjoining property. Khalid went above and beyond as usual and diplomatically resolved everything by communicating directly with the neighbour.
I have properties managed in the UK and Australia and these guys really do stand out as diamonds. 100% I would recommend them.
