Was in the process of purchasing a house through Bradley's!!! First we had a serious amount of time wasted via their mortgage broker who offered us an unacceptable mortgage. We then went "all guns blazing to sell and save as much as possible" added to a new mortgage offer that was compliant, through a reputable independent financial advisor. About to exchange when without as much as a telephone call an apparent bidding war took place! Our solicitors said they had been TOLD we were no longer proceeding or interested in the purchasing. This experience could not have been more miss managed or wrong. Winterbourne Cottage owners please know we were always with honourable and good intentions. The truth will come out

Sep 7, 2021Having investigated the matter, there appears to be far more involved than your review suggests and the office communicated clearly with you throughout the process, including an email in March that explains the owners were re-marketing due to the lack of progress you had made in the 6 months since your initial offer! The owners chose not to proceed with your offer in the end, fully aware of the position, which they are entitled to do and we carried out their instructions. We hope you do find the right home, although on this occasion it wasn't Winterbourne Cottage. If you do wish to add anything further please feel free up contact us by emailing info@beagroup.co.uk

Sep 7, 2021We are the owners of Winterbourne Cottage... we had been exceptionally patient with you and your husband as the potential buyers of Winterbourne after waiting several months of waiting for you to get your finances in place ( of which you originally said that they were) we had no choice but to put the house back on the market you came back after several months saying you were ready to purchase but not at the agreed price we refused then you had the tumerity to then come back with another lower offer then another unacceptable offer then you offered above the price we agreed to originally to which by then another two offers came in one of which was then accepted lm afraid even though you then tried to outbid our accepted offer my brothers an l had already decided it was not about the extra money but the principle...we also decided that we wanted nice people to reside in our mother's home ... your emails and comments about Bradley's are totally unfounded and under the circumstances l think that you need to look at the way you have behaved in this matter as it seems everyone else is to blame for you not being able to purchase the property.

Sep 14, 2021Winterbourne Vendors Thank you for your comments in response to our reviews of Bradleys Estate Agents. Firstly we very much appreciated your patience whilst our finances having been in place, changed when our property sale fell through. Our reduced offer was certainly not meant to have been offensive, merely we matched the 10% reduction on asking price as previously accepted. Our principal was always to be open and honest with integrity. If only you have met us or researched us you would know we are honest decent hard working and very charitable couple who would have been more than nice in your Mothers home. Please try and feel our situation after we have spent the last year doing all we can to purchase the house, it really was unfair we were not included or informed in the bidding war after we had previously spoken highly of both Claire and Laura. We have just paid our aborted purchase fees, when we could have been completed and still feel very let down by Bradleys.

Sep 30, 2021We fully understood and accepted why the vendors put the property back on the market after so slow a progress on our dependant sale, and the failure of Bradley's mortgage brokers to find us a non fraudulent mortgage. We did clearly say at that time that we were still interested and would be back in touch when the dependant sale went through. We spoke to Claire on 5th August and told her that we were still wanting to buy Winterbourne cottage and we were expecting exchange on the dependant property in the next couple of weeks with completion at the end of the month. On 27th August, the day that the dependant sale exchanged we phoned to say that we were now in a position to proceed with completion in a matter of days, only to be told that a 'bidding war' had been completed a couple of hours before to which we had not been informed or invited. Obviously Bradley's Teignmouth can not be bothered to get the best price for their vendors by getting all interested parties involved when a bidding situation develops. We can only assume that some sort of conflict of interest occurred.

Oct 10, 2021Update Not sure who Kai Logan is but myself, my husband and solicitors have never been part of his investigation. Added to which the matter was in the hands of the solicitors and at the point of exchange when Bradley's invited a bidding war. The vendors never meet myself or my husband so surprised they can ascertain our persona and or demeanour. We are generally very nice people. We have paid nearly 8k in aborted sales fees due to Bradley's Estate Agents. The case is now in professional misconduct investigation to include fraudulent mortgage offers, unfair treatment and conflict of interest. The truth will come out but needless to say this has been an abhorrent experience, trying to buy the house of our dreams.
1. Bradleys is a Member of The Property Ombudsman\'s Scheme and aims to provide the highest standards of service to all our Customers. To ensure that your interests are safeguarded, an Internal Complaints Procedure has been implemented. This provides for the matter to be dealt with internally by the Office Manager or the Department Head. In the event that we are not able to deal with the matter to our mutual satisfaction after following our Internal Complaints Procedure you may refer your complaint in writing to the Property Ombudsman.
2. If you believe you have a complaint, please write in the first instance to the Office Manager or the Department Head at the address of the relevant office.
3. Your complaint will be acknowledged within 3 working days, investigated thoroughly in accordance with the established in-house Procedures, and a reply sent to you within 21 working days of receipt of your letter.
4. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of the initial investigation, you are provided with a further opportunity to have the complaint reviewed by our Managing Director at the address given below:
