** ATTENTION TO ALL LANDLORDS AND FUTURE RENTERS** If you want to rent your property or rent a property and get it off the market fast go elsewhere. If I could put zero stars I would. I viewed a property at 17B Townhead Strathaven on Saturday with Gillian who was lovely and we spoke about putting an offer forward to the landlord and we were advised to send an email. I sent an email on Saturday advising my interest. I then called Monday afternoon as I hadn’t heard anything back to acknowledge my email and with the rental market moving quickly I wanted to make sure everything was going smoothly. However I spoke to Erin Duke who is passing messages from the estate agents to me as they aren’t willing to speaking to me themselves. Erin had advised my offer I had put through wasn’t accepted and when I questioned this Erin advised they hadn’t bothered putting it through to the landlord as they know he will say no. So without knowing why or any negotiations they put it to the back burner and weren’t even going to contact me. I then requested for someone to call me back before 17:30 that day and this was agreed. It came to 17:15 and I had no call. I then asked to speak to a manager and got out through to Aiden Jack who was so smug on a phone regarding this situation trying to justify the situation but then say sorry as it should of been but through?. He advised he will put my offer through to the landlord and he advised the landlord responses back very quick and also advised me the rental market is moving fast which is why I having been calling. We are now on Wednesday afternoon and still nothing. I followed up my request to Erin Duke to then be asked questions who was calling etc what I wanted to speak to Aiden for to be out on hold for a few minutes then to be told he wasn’t in the office. It’s so unprofessional and clear as day he was just trying to avoid me. I emailed over Gillian who I saw on Saturday as Aiden (couldn’t be bothered replying) as I needed an update so I know what the situation is, to then be told off Aiden very quickly may I add via email there’s no need for me continually contact them. I withdrew my offer and will not be viewing any properties with this company again. I do hope the landlord of the property see this review and future landlords as I was willing to rent this property and due to the lack of communication, being very unprofessional and friendliness off Aiden himself. As a company they need to release this is people’s life’s and they should treat people with respect and update regardless if they have answers or not

Jul 10, 2023I am disappointed that you felt it necessary to leave such a negative review. I would like to clarify that as agents, we act on landlord instructions. To date we have not had a response from the landlord of the property in relation to your offer to rent the property below the current market value. As agents, we cannot make the final decisions on applications for the property and cannot decide to reduce rent without confirmation from the landlord, we contacted the landlord on Monday. You have to date, not completed any referencing for the property which we had previously requested and we note that you refused to complete any referencing for the property until your offer was accepted. This is not our normal procedure as we usually request applications in advance, however we did put your offer forward to the landlord on this occasion to try to help as you were looking for a quick decision. The landlord has not responded to accept or refuse your query to rent the property below the current market value. Your offer was put forward to the landlord on Monday 3rd July which has been 2 working days – we do not feel this is an unreasonable time for the landlord to consider this reduced offer and await their preliminary response – we would still then require completed referencing for the landlord to make an informed decision on your application. We absolutely refute your claims against the staff members you mention below. Erin is our administrative apprentice and followed the correct procedures to identify who was calling and what the call was in relation to, before passing the phone to the relevant property manager. Erin would be unaware if a colleague was not in the office or unavailable until she tried to transfer the call. Aidan is nothing but professional in all that he does which is reflected in his work, feedback and reviews he has been given. Aidan did all that he could to assist you with your query and has responded to you and updated you when he has returned to the office from managing his portfolio of properties. Now that we have provided you the above information, we feel this review of The Property Store is unjust and respectfully ask you to remove it as this is not a true reflection of our service.

Jul 10, 2023To your above response I will not be removing my review a I stand by it and that’s the experience I had. Am not going back and forth arguing on my experience accept it and move on.
