Non responsive team and totally irresponsible from the start. We thought it was just an initial hiccup from our dealings with Craig and Jake hence we went with them. They are just salesman who sold without being able to deliver. We couldn't reached anyone once we have signed and things only picked up a little after I posted at Trustpilot of my awful experience. Suddenly the letting team of Sabrina and India started responding. However, within a short period, it was back to being non communicative and simply ridiculous. We stopped hearing from Sabrina altogether. We were given an inventory report that has no photos and that was it. India initially told us they are working to restore the photos. Several emails chasers later, we realised that wasnt going to happen at all. All we got was a sorry but there was no suggestion on the next step forward. The madness continues when we received an invoice today that showed they have charged us a check out fee - without telling us the tenant has left and you would wonder how they did a check out without an inventory report! We cant believe they actually have the gall to charge us! If you want the hassle of managing your managing agents, and having your property not properly managed, Haart Lincoln and the Lettings team are the right choice. Else, avoid them at all costs!

The most prominent example of the former is when the landlord let himself into our (locked) house early one morning while me and my girlfriend were getting ready for work, and after I told Haart that he had been in breach of the tenancy agreement by trespassing onto the property, I was told that they "..made it very clear that this should not happen again but unfortunately he wasn’t able to give [them] the same assurances." so I had to live at my house knowing he might enter the property whenever he feels like. After telling them he was not only in breach of the tenancy agreement but also committing an offence under the Landlord and Tenants Act, my email was ignored.

After telling them he was not only in breach of the tenancy agreement but also committing an offence under the Landlord and Tenants Act, my email was ignored.
Another example of their general incompetency relates to the deposit for the property. I left the property on May 16th, and I'm writing this review now because I received the deposit back today. They missed their deadline to return the deposit to me by 12 weeks citing the fact they could not contact the landlord, and they only sent it back in the end because I had to raise a lengthy dispute with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (who Haart refused to respond to for the entire duration of the dispute) . Being unable to reach or speak to the landlord appears to be a big issue for a company whose sole purpose is to be a middle man between the tenant and the landlord and is in fact being PAID for that very responsibility.
The biggest issue I had with the company and the reason for the review relates to early release from my contract. I was contacted before my tenancy was up to ask if I wanted to renew, where I told Haart that I would be buying a property and moving out within the year. I was told, and I have written proof of this, that it would cost £225 (+VAT) to be released early from a 12 year tenancy if I wished to sign on anyway. Deciding that I liked the security of a fixed term contract, I signed the agreement and would pay the £225. 6 months later when it came to requesting release from the contract, I was told that at some point over the last 6 months 'terms and conditions' had changed and the new price was £560. I argued that this was not the price I had been quoted prior to signing, and I was told that if I did not pay the £560 they would not relist the property and I would be expected to pay full rent for the empty property for a further 6 months. Having no other choice I paid the increased fee, but it is clear to me at this stage I was deliberately deceived so haart could make more money.
If you are looking up reviews to see whether it is worth renting a property through Haart I urge you to look elsewhere. They will not perform the job you are paying them to perform, and they will use immoral and sometime even unlawful business practices to squeeze money from you while they do it.

Not only did he keep in constant contact, but we received a walk round video of the property to allow us to have the opportunity to view. This is the most helpful anybody has ever been to whilst trying to find our new forever home and I commend this level of commitment to his customers and your company.
Such a high level of service give us the confidence to return and keep looking for properties with Hart. Jake has been extremely attentive and helpful. This has also restored our faith in the world, and we are extremely satisfied with the service. You have an excellent member of your team there and his efforts should not go un- noticed!
We are hoping to keep looking for our forever home and we are hoping it will be though Haart because as we are concerned, Hart is a company that provides and puts their customers first!
