We chose Sawyers to help us sell our house in Portslade and could not be more pleased with the service we received. James Gunn was fantastic, he offered practical honest advice and worked hard to develop a marketing strategy that resulted in surpassing our expectations. He also helped us to find a conveyancer at short notice (we didn't expect to accept an offer so quickly) which smoothed out the whole process for us. Once the offer was agreed, Bob Beaken at Sawyers made sure all the parties were communicating effectively and coordinated the process between us, the buyer and the two lots of solicitors which was fantastic as it meant less stress for us wondering about what was happening. All in all Sawyers have a great team and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Well done!

My experience with Sawyer and Co was next to none. From booking viewings to finding my property.
When viewing properties, there was no sales pitch and pressure to buy, there was a friendly welcoming atmosphere given by each of the estate agents I met with.
When I found the property I knew I wanted, the team (especially James) were helpful, honest and responsive.
From putting in an offer to reviving my keys; I managed to beat the stamp duty thanks to Bob, Kieran, James and the team being quick and responsive and following up directly with the solicitors to ensure I didn’t miss out. I believe my process may be up there with record breaking thanks to the teams hard work and dedication to ensure that both the seller and I were happy.

I have used Sawyer for the past 4 years and generally have been very happy with the team and service received. I had an excellent experience with Sawyer & Co while finding tenants for my flat in Hove. From the very beginning, Kerry-Anne was patient and thorough, walking me through all my options and answering countless questions. Her guidance made me feel secure and confident in my choice of agent and the letting process.
At the end of the process, Jess took over to handle the paperwork and contracts. She was super-efficient, swiftly resolving last-minute issues and even dropping off keys for me during an unexpected visit from the locksmith.
Cerys and Mia managed the viewings with great professionalism, keeping me updated about prospective tenants, understanding and addressing any concerns I had.
Lastly, the rest of the team, whom I didn’t meet in person, were equally courteous and efficient, whether it was answering calls or sending through marketing materials.

Their mistakes this last time cost me £600, and again no apology. To top it all off they have begun hiding charges in the small print and only presenting them after they have your money.

Bob Beaken led the team on Chris's behalf and could not have been better at initially setting a market price and negotiating well to achieve it. We rarely write reviews, but we have been so impressed with Sawyer and Co we wanted to post. From start to finish Sawyer and Co have been brilliant with supporting us in finding tenants for our flat. At the start of the process Kerry-Anne was brilliant at providing an overview of all the different options available to us from 'tenant find' to full management of the property. Following this we were kept informed about when viewings were taking place and Cerys shared great summaries of the potential applications for us to read through and was quick to contact applicants when required. Mia's communication after completing viewings with potential applicants was brilliant. Jess was great with the contract side of things supporting us through this part of the process and being responsive to amendments that needs to be made to the tenancy agreement. We are sorry if we have missed anyone out. Everyone who we came into contact with at Sawyer and Co were fantastic.

Extremely professional and friendly service from Sawyers & Co. I have been renting out my flat through Sawyers and the service I received was remarkable. Our Client Money Protection (CMP) Scheme is a compensation scheme run by the National Federation of Property Professionals (NFoPP) which provides compensation to landlords, tenants and other clients should an agent misappropriate their rent, deposit or other client funds. Client Money Protection - Sawyer & Co are part of a client money protection scheme. Our Client Money Protection (CMP) Scheme is a compensation scheme run by the National Federation of Property Professionals (NFoPP) which provides compensation to landlords, tenants and other clients should an agent misappropriate their rent, deposit or other client funds. Independent Redress Provided by The Property Ombudsman - Sawyer & Co are part of The Property Ombudsman Scheme (TPOS). This scheme has been providing consumers and property agents with an alternative dispute resolution service since 1990. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.

Sawyer & Co - Formal Complaints Procedure
As a Sawyer & Co customer you expect a first class service from us and we aim to provide it. We have high standards, but if you believe we have made a mistake, please get in touch with us as soon as possible and we will do everything we can to put it right.
We are also subject to the rules of The Property Ombudsman. In general terms this gives Clients who are unable to resolve a complaint against us the right to have this reviewed by an independent body, the Ombudsman.
We hope that our complaints procedure will resolve any complaint without the need for you to contact The Property Ombudsman. Please note that the Ombudsman will not investigate your complaint before you have completed our complaints procedure and received a letter or email from us giving our final response.
This document shows the steps in our complaints procedure. At every stage we promise to listen, to do everything we can to resolve your problem and to make sure you\'re happy with the way we do it.
Our Complaints Procedure
If you have a problem relating to the service you have received, please discuss this at the earliest opportunity with one of our members of staff. Our aim is to deal with your problem sympathetically, fairly and quickly.
If you feel that the matter is not being resolved to your satisfaction, please ask to speak to the Manager of the department dealing with your enquiry. The Manager will try to resolve the matter on the day you raise your complaint, although whether this is possible will depend on the complexity of the complaint.
If the response by one of our Managers does not resolve the matter to your satisfaction, you can ask the Manager to refer the complaint to one of the Directors. It is better if you can do this in writing to:

A letter of acknowledgement will be sent to you within 3 working days. It will also:
Set out our understanding of your complaint and state when we will be able to reply in greater detail.
You may also be asked for additional information if this is required to assist resolving the matter.
Your letter should state why you are still dissatisfied and what further action you wish Sawyer & Co to take to fully resolve your complaint. The Director will fully investigate your complaint as quickly as possible.
In all but exceptional cases, by the end of eight weeks following receipt of your complaint, Sawyer & Co will have given you its final response in writing.

The Property Ombudsman will consider your complaint, taking into account any points made by you and Sawyer & Co. The Ombudsman may, however, refuse to investigate a complaint when your issue refers to something that happened more than 12 months before you complained in writing to the Member Agency, or you referred your complaint to the Ombudsman more than six months after you received the Member Agency\'s final offer of settlement or answer.
The Ombudsman\'s Office may try to settle the dispute by agreement between you and Sawyer & Co. If this is unsuccessful, the Ombudsman will consider all the relevant factors and make a decision according to what he believes to be fair in all the circumstances.
The Ombudsman will send his decision to you and Sawyer & Co. You can accept or reject his decision. If you reject the Ombudsman\'s decision, it will lapse and you are free to do as you wish.
