Number 1Letting have managed our rental property right from day one in July 2019, up to earlier this month when we sold it. The service we have received has been absolutely 1st class in every way. We have never had cause to even consider using another letting agent. Dan and his team take care of everything most professionally and are great to deal with. Can highly recommend them! From the second we enquired about renting the property up until vacating it after buying our first home, number 1 lettings were amazing.

Number 1 have been fantastic from the moment we moved into one of their properties. Everything super clear and you are never in the dark with them. Just on viewings alone on the first time we moved into their property they went above and beyond to ensure we got a viewing for the property we liked. With damages and maintenance issues, the team were fantastic at responding and getting things done. Unfortunately our landlord decided to sell the property, however there has been nothing but support and assistance from Tracey and the team to ensure we get another house as soon as possible. There is a real care for people for this team and it's obvious to see whether you call or email, no matter who you speak to. The entire team is so caring and lovely, it made us not want to go with any other agency in the future as these guys really set the standard. If I could add more than 2 mentions for team members below I would, as everyone deserves to know how great of a job they are doing at Number 1.

Following a professional clean we found the previous occupiers underwear, dried food on the wall, disgusting carpets and maggot husks. When we complained we were told cleanliness was subjective and we had to do it ourselves (I even sent photos and visited them in person with photos). We were unable to use the shower as instructed by numbers 1 lettings due to safety issues with the glass screen. The bath was unable to produce hot water due to a thermostatic valve, so we couldn't live there for the first 4 weeks and were offered nothing in compensation! The washing machine was disgusting and had to be replaced at our own cost and pay for the removal of the old washer even though we were told white goods were included. (we obviously kept the washer we bought - they advertised the property when we left with a washing machine which obviously wasn't there)

After being in the property for 6 months our boiler blew up due to water leak in the boiler landing on the electric motherboard. It took over a week and multiple visits to fix the issue. With no heating or hot water we had to move out at our own cost, and we were offered around £100 compensation. A carpet was reported at the inspection as being unsafe. The photos were put on for and only when I feel down the steps was something done about it. When the fitter came it was due to a previous poor repair carried out on the bottom step which meant the carpet couldn't grip.
Viewings at move out, we arranged well in advance and agreed on timings as I was already moved out. Viewings were arranged earlier than the time agreed and viewing were arranged for the time I said I needed to be out. The gentleman that attended to sort the viewings was very honest as but the office claimed it was a mistake in the documents. The gentleman honoured my times thankfully.
We moved out in August 2023, I provided details of reads and included photos. I contacted every supplier and provided them with details of my move out. The new tenancy started approx 2.5 weeks after I moved out (we befriended them showing them around as they were not local). I have now received a debt letter for the period my tenancy ended and the new tenancy starting. The letting agents have not made the energy suppliers they are responsible (landlord details) so the energy suppliers have correctly chased backwards.
From a tenant point of view I've never dealt with a more unprofessional company and it's obvious it's about making money. In the current market I feel they are exploiting the renting market and peoples situations. If I find myself renting again and found a property I liked, if Number 1 Lettings was the agent I would actively avoid the property.

Great service from Number 1 Lettings. i'm not local to where my property is and i was recommended Number 1 Lettings and they have been absolutely great.
