Ascend was founded on the belief that estate agents could do a lot better. We\'d been working in the industry for a long time and were frustrated that most agencies were just so ordinary. Like their houses, these places were in ne
ed of a new lick of paint. Bit of rising damp in the basement too. So we decided to build our own home. A team of quick thinkers and good listeners also did a rare thing: treat customers like people instead of transactions. Because they knew great service wasn\'t just about experience and expertise. We had one philosophy: to keep the promises we made.

Over a week after my initial move in date I am still not living there due to mold/damp issues, the toilet flush is still broken and the smoke detector is actually hanging off the ceiling. In short they have rented out a property that is unfit to live in and non-conform with the Fitness for Human Habitation Act of 2018.
If you are moving into an apartment that needs a bit of work doing on it I recommend that you get everything down in writing before signing off and sending over the deposit & reservation.
Additionally every time I try to call Property Management services it takes about three or four attempts to get through to someone, at least an hour if not two of time wasted every time you try to get through to them.
I will endeavor to keep this review updated once they have solved the issues. There was also a sofa left in the apartment that was infested with cat pee, almost threw up when I smelt it. Extremely unprofessional.

ORIGINAL REVIEW
After spending almost two months being pushed around by dodgy estate agent and student letting companies I got a call from Adam McComb at Ascend, he had found the perfect property for me.
All requirements were ticked, space, budget, white goods and location, all perfect. I had been checking every day for two months and hadn't found anything quite like this. Ascend got in touch with me as soon as they knew the apartment would be available - before it was even put on the market. The joys of a good estate agent and agency!
Adam you have taken a weight off of my shoulders and I can't thank you enough. I can now rest assured that I have a good place to live for my studies and beyond!

Easily the worse letting agents in NW England, if not the entire UK.
Firstly, ignore the good reviews by new tenants. As noted in other reviews, Ascend bribe new tenants by offering to put them in a sweepstake in return for a good review here.
Once they have your signature on a lease, they don't give a toss about doing their jobs. Repairs are never carried out properly. I put up with damp plaster for months with Ascend failing to properly investigate the cause. When the lease was up I was out of there, and they took months to return my deposit. Never again.
