Very poor experience in our case! I would definitely not recommend! As my partner stated before they left us for 6 days with no hot water or heating with a newborn baby, when we contacted Chris he asked me to sleep on the sofa downstairs with the baby as that's the only place we had a gas... Bear in mind I was recovering from a c-section! Also there were no hot shower for a week, at 2 degrees in December. They never offered us a hotel like stated on my partner post.
When handing back the notice In person Chris was extremely rude towards me and asked to speak to Adam if not we would not get our bond back!?
I felt very belittled by his demeanour towards me! When we actually drove out of our way to personally hand over our end of tenancy letter. for some reason I guess he does not like to deal with women. This is how it made me feel.
And as for the end of tenancy cleaning Chris was the one to give us all of his trusted cleaner details and told us she was highly recommended. We paid a staggering £200 for the job and still they said her cleaning was not up to their standards so took £60 from our deposit! However they still thanked us on a email for leaving the house in such good condition!
The cleaner never had a phone call with us it was all over text messages and Adam told her in details what was to be done that's why it's called en of tenancy clean!
Do not let Belvoir tell you otherwise it was a truly poor experience. Avoid!

Also, our rented property was not in the best of states when we moved in. The carpet needed significant improvement. The boiler broke down whilst we were there, and we had to wait over a week in December until the landlord decided to pay for parts from abroad. It left us with no hot water for over a week in the freezing cold with a newborn. Chris said make sure you wrap up warm!
We found that Belvoir wasn't that helpful and not as professional in handing this situation. There are many other estate agents in Doncaster. I wish we would have chosen someone else as our experience was poor.

If I could change one thing in my life it would be to have never come in contact with Belvoir Doncaster.
While renting a property from them they dragged their feet on every issue we had with the property. For a grand total of 7 months we were without a working shower or one of the toilets in the property.
Upon trying to book a cleaner prior to checkout, they did absolutely nothing to assist having agreed to help. Only days before we finally were due to check out did they tell us that they couldn't find anyone and that either we'd have to find someone or it'd come out of our bond. An impossible task.
Displeased with the service, I asked numerous times over the course of 6 months to raise a formal complaint and to have contact with a manager. Every occasion was met with radio silence and empty promises. To this day they are yet to open an avenue, down which I can lodge a formal complaint.

Belvoir Doncaster is quite simply the worst business I have ever had dealings with!
I was a tenant at one of their properties for 3 and a half years and during that time there were so many issues: We went 3 months without a working hob, 22 days without a washing machine, 9 months with a bannister that was loose and falling off the wall and the list goes on. The service we received during our period with them just seemed to get worse. I would avoid this company if I was a tenant because they have no interest in their tenants as according to the staff and the manager “tenants do not pay us for our services, the landlords do”. I would also avoid this company if I was looking to rent my house out as they employ tradesmen that have very little skill (obviously cheap) and are unable to even put a cupboard door on.
The worse thing about Belvoir Doncaster is that they try and keep their tenant's deposits. We have rented many properties before and we have always been given a full return of our deposit. We have always paid our rent on time and have looked after each and every property we have ever lived in. Belvoir sent us a confirmation of their deduction list from our deposit and they said that we were entitled to £17 pounds of our £650-pound deposit. This was a ridiculous judgement and one that was completely unwarranted. I rejected this claim and the staff then tried to negotiate with me on the phone. Their price list included 189 pounds for 2 freezer drawers that had cracked and 90 pounds to professionally clean a house that had just been professionally cleaned for 30 pounds. The house was in a better condition than when we first moved in because I remember walking into a kitchen that had flooded and destroyed parts of the cheap lino on the floor. I obviously disputed this embezzling claim with the DPS, but Belvoir decided to ignore my request and they did not respond to my action on my deposit. Therefore, my deposit was just sitting in the DPS without any action being taken from their side. I was unable to get my money back! I emailed Belvoir twice asking them to act on my request, but they refused. When I called, they put the phone down on me! I then went to a solicitor and used the DPS Statutory Declaration Form and guess what…Belvoir did not respond, this resulted in the DPS releasing my deposit back to me in full. This seriously makes me wonder how many other times they have deceived tenants for their deposit. Belvoir had no ambition to pursue their £633 pound claim as they know that the claim itself was dishonest. If we left the house in £633 pounds worth of work, then surely, they would have contested and won? After 6 months of waiting, emailing without a response and filing a form through a solicitor I received my full £650 pound deposit back.
Avoid Belvoir because you will undoubtedly in the end become very frustrated, disappointed, and upset by the amateurish service you will receive.

Personal choice to use them but don't expect to get your deposit back. Said leaking ceiling on landing needs decorating now (we are contributing towards decorating costs) and god forbid, some brick dust on the outside toilet sink.

Im very disappointed as I was keept waiting for one week to do viewing and at the end I got cancelled for not obvious reasons. Maybe the reason was that I wasn't suitable because I want to move from London?!!

I am only posting as this is the only way you appear to get a response as emails get ignored despite various attempts. I will not engage in unprofessional comments I merely want the return of my spare house keys and evidence of house inspection which should of been handed over a month ago. I have paid for this premium service in a timely fashion and expect you to fulfil your obligations and hand over in a professional manner. Also just to clarify the content you are posting is incorrect the bank account you reffer to is from the DPS which was given to me by them when following the correct proceedure. Also my house has always been to a high standard you commented on this yourself when handing over hence why the first viewers took the opportunity to take it. Although after the excessive amount of repairs I have paid for an lack of evidence of the 6 monthly inspection and hand over I am unsure of what the situation may be now. Please just have the professionalism to respond to my email requests and reutrn my keys and the documents requested to put and end to this matter.

I have been very satisfied with Belvoir. I have had direct communications with Alicia, Chris and Katie. As a tenant who is renting alone for the first time, I have found them to be very informative and supportive throughout the renting procedure. They have provided help and guidance when needed and appear to be thorough in their work. Having only rented for a short while I cannot say whether this good service will remain throughout my tenancy, but they have given me no reason to believe it will not.

For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
Complaints Procedure
IN-HOUSE COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
We are committed to providing a professional service to all our clients and customers. When something goes wrong, we need you to tell us about it. This will help us to improve our standards.
If you have a complaint, please put it in writing, including as much detail as possible. We will then respond in line with the timeframes set out below (if you feel we have not sought to address your complaints within eight weeks, you may be able to refer your complaint to the Property Ombudsman to consider without our final viewpoint on the matter).
What will happen next?
• We will send you a letter acknowledging receipt of you complaint within three working days of receiving it, enclosing a copy of this procedure.
• We will then investigate your complaint. This will normally be dealt with by the office manager who will review your file and speak to the member of staff who dealt with you. A formal written outcome of our investigation will be sent to you within 15 working days of sending the acknowledgement letter.
• If, at this stage, you are still not satisfied, you should contact us again and we will arrange for a separate review to take place by a senior member of staff.
• We will write to you within 15 working days of receiving your request for a review, confirming our final viewpoint on the matter.
If you remain dissatisfied, you can then contact The Property Ombudsman to request an independent review:

You will need to submit your complaint to The Property Ombudsman within 12 months of receiving our final viewpoint letter, including any evidence to support your case.
The Property Ombudsman requires that all complaints are addressed through this in-house complaints procedure, before being submitted for an independent review.
